Hey there!
Since the latest NVIDIA drivers for the 3000 series the game keeps running more and more slow the longer the game is played.
After around 30-45 minutes you can really see how moving the camera feels horrible, it just keeps lagging and stuttering while it was fine before.
I've tried out everything, lowering the graphics to an absolute minimum, changing the DX version, and restarting the game.
Even after restarting the game + lowering the graphics to a minimum the game keeps running horrible until I perform a complete restart of the computer.
The final solution for now was using an old driver, to be exact 456.71.
Every driver above that version is causing this issue for me, especially the most recent 460.79 and 460.89.
My specs:
Windows 10 Home 64-bit
AMD Ryzen 7 3700x
32 GB DDR4 3200MHz
Zotac Trinity 3080
I don't know if it's an issue with NVIDIAs drivers in general, or if it's fixable with an update for Anno 1800 itself, but I am just gonna post it here in case it is!
I also hope it's just a temporary solution since I prefer keeping my drivers updated for better performance in the most recent games.
Greeting, Thrax.
