Rao is a good one. Out of curiosity, why are you interested in him? (Disclaimer: I'm the Narrative Producer so it's relevant to my team, hence the curiosity)

Can't wait until you meet Sundance, one of my favourite Specialists in the game. Total badass.

Loads of the team also tweet when there's a Marketing drop. I saw so many people sharing screenshots of the recent Specialist info for example. I think I saw even more of the team posting around the Journey of the Exodus on a daily basis. In short, the team posts and shares stuff when there's stuff we can talk about.

The team is just that, a team. We want to make the best game possible, the same way you want to play the best game possible. Passion is on both sides, players and development. From experience, things are a lot more productive when those passions align into a shared outlet. Constructive criticism and discussion is completely fine, but I would hope we're past the point of attacks on individual team members (Not directed at you OP, just a general observation).

Nobody is forcing anyone to tweet. What you are seeing is people talking about something they care about.

Thank you for your response. I'm rooting for you and excited to see the game when it is ready. Take your time. Also this has been my experience in web dev. I imagine it is a very different experience than game dev in a lot of ways. But we often knock out many bugs in a day. Typically the issues that take the longest are those that have dependencies across teams. And of course we sometimes introduce bugs that are harder to track down or are larger issues, but in general we can fix a lot of bugs in a week.

Yeah that sounds quite similar indeed :)

What a bullshit. In witch world can bugs be fixed rapidly? Bugs cost a lot of time. Bugs can lead to new bugs. Some bugs cost DAYS of development without testing.

Its pure marketing bullshit.

You're right, sometimes it takes days to fix a bug, but I often fix multiple ones in one day. It's all about the find vs. fix rate, and seeing us trending in the right direction very fast now I felt confident enough to post that tweet.

Also, I'm not a marketeer, I'm just an engineer that simply reacted to what's going on, hoping to answer some questions.

There are a lot of different tastes about hit/kill indicators as well as sounds - Hope you'll like what you'll see (and hear) when we launch! :)

Comment

Hit indicators are very Work In Progress in the footage you saw, they're going to change for the Open Beta and will change again even more at launch since those are the elements we save time for iterating on usually at the end. Same applies to kill-feed and the similar hit / kill feedback elements.

The issue with hitmarkers showing below reticle / crosshair was a bug as well which has been addressed since.

Options to customize crosshair / hit indicators / kill indicators will be available and we can potentially add more heavily requested options! :)

He solves practical problems. Not the type that would fall within the purview of your conundrums of philosophy.

Only just. Parts of Florida are fully gone (ocean swallowed it). Food production in the USA has been devastated.

Certainly a country in turmoil.

Not all No-Pats want a war. Some will fight to [try and] make sure that won't happen.
