Is it just you that works on the map? Or is there a whole team? Regardless the maps look so good visually. Super inspiring. Can't wait to see all of them!
No, while i'm the level designer a level pod usually also consists of a 3D artist and 2 level artists. But ofc we have other departments doing a bunch of work (like lighting, vfx, sfx, qa etc) as well as other level/3D artists and designers helping out with various stuff.
As a level designer I usually block out areas, work with all the departments to make sure we are synced and am also responsible for the game modes etc. Among other things, I guess in short I am responsible for the gameplay :D

I hope so! This was a challenging map since the premise is pretty bananas, but i'm happy with the end result so I hope you'll enjoy it :D
If they a add a time between the uses and a option like, when you slide and NEED to do this again, the slide goes more poor and you can't run for like a moment.
This is actually how we want it to work; minimum velocity to be able to start a slide, cooldown between slides and speed penalties when sliding too fast in succession. Also sliding down hill will obviously be a bit longer than uphill.
u/F8RGE looks like the Kourou space center was also dramatically affected by flooding. I wonder how long the US will be able to launch rockets from here before it is lost like Cape Canaveral.

The same reason where it has been 48C in Italy this week and only 20C in Stockholm. The world is a big place, weather affects various parts of the globe differently.
England got hit by a lot of water. A wave hitting England isn't also going to hit somewhere across the world etc
