Good luck being stealthy if you've got a constant marker on people's minimap any time you go on any sort of killstreak.
Just to provide some clarity here: Players only receive the special indicator if they would have been identified on the mini-map. Using suppressed weapons, perks, and tactics to stay off the mini-map will prevent you from being identified.
So, I think I've figured it out.
I kind of lied, when I said "same setup". I'm playing on a different screen.
I had been playing on a computer monitor due to logistical troubles with ethernet cords. Bought a longer cord after the beta and installed it, network speeds unaffected, all good.
However, I'm now playing on my 4k tv. Using my OG PS4. Instead of the 1080p computer monitor. OG just can't handle the pixels, that is my assumption. As I've moved back to the other screen and it runs so much incredibly better now.
It's just a next gen game running the OG PS4 to it:s limits.

Have you tried turning on your TV's equivalent to Game Mode?
Maybe like gunfight? Gunfight pings track the enemies for like a second. Not like Warzone where you are tracked for a few secs
This is a good example. Ping currently doesn't persist on players other than the moment.
Ping in MP feels good IMHO.
