Overview Patch 1.1.2 is live. This patch took much longer than anticipated because it is the final planned patch for Blightbound. We wanted to make the patch is as well-rounded as possible because there is a good chance that we will stop active development for Blightbound after this patch. There were quite a few things we wanted to tweak and change in the game, such as changing the conditions for Malborys’ lifegoal, some quality-of-life changes, some UI changes, and a few bugs and issues players were still encountering. We also underwent extensive playtesting internally to make sure this patch is as stable as possible. In the build for this patch, after numerous sessions of internal playtesting on the current build for 1.1.2, we did not encounter any crashes or hard-locks, and we only encountered 2 soft-locks that we have already added fail-safes for.

Hey everyone! It's been a while and we've been working incredibly hard on getting Blightbound ready for 1.0!

The partial reason why this patch has taken so long is because we've been fixing so many bugs and making so many improvements. Every time we hit a milestone, we think "but it would be great if we can also include fixes from the next milestone..." and the whole process repeats itself and snowballs 😅

Patch Notes 0.7.1 (Hotfix)
  • Heroes with all stat points on max value no longer show the notification icon for available stat points to assign.
  • Fixed an issue where the hero unlock animation would play every time when a player returns to the refuge.
  • Fixed an issue where the ‘Play’ button would be disabled if the player is viewing a hero who is the same class as a hero a teammate had already selected.
  • Fixed an issue where all bounties would be completed upon leaving a level, leading to players being able to claim an infinite amount of Aetheri Crystals.
(So this was in the live game for about 40 hours 😅)

New - 🎉 Holidays have come to Blightbound! Rewards from bounties are tripled for the holiday season! 🥳

Tutorial - The game no longer shows tutorial popups for tabs that have not yet been unlocked.

Gameplay - Haäken can no longer spawn in the encounter just before Hemog, at the end of The Hemomancer.
- Fixed a rare, unintended issue where no boulders would spawn in the second and/or third arena during the boss fight against Khuliath.

Refuge - The merchant refresh button no longer takes more than 1 game to be enabled.
- Fixed an issue that prevented players from progressing Korrus’ personal goal.

Interface - The chat window no longer closes when dragging the scrollbar.

- Fixed a bug where characters would sometimes duplicate.
- The refuge no longer hard-locks if a player pressed Alt+F4 after assigning stat points but before equipping an item during the guided part of the tutorial.


Gameplay
- Fixed a bug where projectiles would sometimes not spawn.

New Features
- Naxx and Kruxx now have unique visuals to accompany their status as bosses in the game.

Tutorial
- Fixed a rare issue in the Tutorial, where the player would sometimes be teleported out of bounds when switching from Scarlet to Korrus.
- Reaching a checkpoint in the tutorial should no longer potentially softlock the game.
- It is no longer possible to skip checkpoints by teleporting with Korrus.


Gameplay
- Fixed an issue where Mages would occasionally slide during their auto-attack animation.
- Tek'ka's passive now functions correctly when aiming his primary attack with a controller; the game does not register the aiming as movement anymore.

Hot off the presses, it's another patch! This time, we made some updates to Khuliath's fight (he shouldn't be so hard to kill due to invulnerability anymore), and we made a change to Monster Rings. Take a look down below!

Refuge
  • Small visual improvements to the Refuge.
Gameplay
    Khuliath was causing issues for some players, where his encounter didn’t progress the way it should. This caused him to get stuck behind collision, and players unable to continue to the next arena. We’ve cleaned up this fight, making sure the fight always progresses normally.
  • Fixed an issue where Khuliath did not jump to his next arena properly, causing a softlock in most cases.
  • Slightly adjusted collision in Khuliath's second arena (there was a segment where players could walk on air).

Since the last patch notes were so popular...

Here's another small hotfix! It's a saucy one though: check out the details:
Stability
  • Fixed a desync issue that caused the connection to be lost after playing several matches with the same party. (There might be more desync bugs but we expect this to be a good improvement. Please let us know if you still get desyncs.) This is the beginning of their end.
  • Fixed an issue that in rare cases caused a player to be stuck in a loading screen forever
  • Fixed a crash on exit

Heroes
  • Fixed a grammar issue in Kromn's personal goal description
  • Kromn's personal goal now correctly displays that you have to collect 5 sunshards
