Hello. I am one of the devs at Sharkmob. We launched into early access about two weeks ago. One reason we chose to go with an early access first was to fine tune some systems and features. The anti-cheat is one of those systems. In order for it to function optimally we need to run through a certain numbers of matches and player behaviors. We are also discovering some bugs that have allowed people to cheat - some of those bugs have already been fixed and others are being worked on. Even then, we know cheating is rampant in online games and cheaters will keep coming up with ways to abuse the systems. So its a constant battle and one we are willing to take in order to get a fair and enjoyable experience for the players.

Cheers and have a nice day!

Hello Bloodhunt community!

We have just pushed out a backend fix for a bug that could affect players that have over 300 steam friends, which resulted in an issue where your friends online status would not properly work in Bloodhunt, resulting in it being impossible to invite them to a group.

If you had previously ran into the issue, let us know if it works for you now!

As always, see you at dusk!

Hello!
We have found a possible fix for an issue that would cause some players to experience a black screen when loading into the game, and only being able to hear sound.

Have a look:

Hello Bloodhunt community!

This is the second week of Bloodhunt Early Access, and we wanted to share some thoughts with you on our strategy around anti-cheat and what we are doing to combat cheating and hacking in our game. Cheating is very frustrating for developers and players alike and sadly widespread among online multiplayer games. Sharkmob is committed to removing hackers and cheaters from our games and we will be unwavering in our efforts to protect our game, and players, from such behavior.

We have already started banning the offenders we have caught so far, but many of the more advanced cheats can often be adjusted to work their way around detection methods. As part of Early Access we are in a form of "learning mode", where our systems and developers are watching and waiting to see what kind of cheats are deployed. Once we have a big enough data set of regular gameplay vs cheating we will be able to auto-detect offenders much easier and hopefully prevent ... Read more
