Hey there,
This seems to be something on the forum’s software side and nothing we have done on our end. We’re sending this thread to who’s in charge of keeping the backend tidy to see if they can provide clearer info on this situation.

Weird indeed.
It seems everyone has been bumped down a level for some reason.
As Ignasi mentioned, we’ll definitely check into this.
Hey friends,
I apologize for any confusion caused by the requirements of the “Regular” role. The way it works here is to be a “Regular” requires a certain level of continuous activity/upkeep. One of the requirements is a stat that scales based on global forum activity (i.e. not just your activity as an individual user, but the aggregate of all users posting on this forum, regardless of category)
We’ve experienced a fairly large spike in forum activity in the past month or so (over 50%!), and as a result some users may have seen their “Regular” status bumped off as they no longer meet that scaling requirement.
This scaling requirement can be easily adjusted on our end if so needed. We’ll continue to look into any outlier cases that could have affected users’ roles on here, but to the best of our knowledge there were no deliberate changes nor removals of the role to any individual user on our end.
I hope that all makes sense. Let me know if you have any questions!
That’s strange. I don’t recall ever changing Ignasi’s role, and his role shouldn’t really matter since he’s already flagged as staff/admin. The logs don’t show anything either. “Leader” is only for moderators and staff, although some Funcom-flagged accounts may not necessarily have “Leader” since that role includes things like the ability to delete posts and other moderator functions.
I don’t really have a way to track this so I can’t verify, unfortunately. Badges? I’ll look into it but I’m not aware of any changes. The last major version update to our forum software occurred in early April and I’m not aware of other major updates, so I don’t think anything should have changed super recently. The only thing we have done manually in terms of badges for Sera67 was adding Nicole’s star of approval.
Not right this second, but it’s something we’ll consider. Even if we change the requirements you would still need to remain quite active to maintain the role so it’s not a given situation. I’ll keep an eye on your stats to verify whether or not the ‘goal’ is actually moving drastically before doing anything.
I should also add that we turned off the ability for non-moderators to change topic headings/categories. That was not intended as a personal action against you @Croms_Faithful, but rather a global forum policy. Sorry for the confusion!
tl;dr i need more scooby snax or else the forum gets the axe
(THIS IS A JOKE PLEASE DON’T HURT ME)
Alright. Took a long look at stats and the “Regular” role. One thing to note is that we automatically flag any Funcom staff or moderator/volunteer coordinator to the role so the actual number of ‘normal’ users at that level is far fewer than what’s actually being displayed in the forum stats.
For now, we’ll reduce the required number of posts to view from 25% to 20% and see where that takes us. This change is now active and anyone who meets the qualifications should be promoted automatically soon.
Oh and while I’m at it I finally fixed the misaligned “Like” counter.
