Hello and welcome to Dev Diary #84, I’m Carlberg , the 3D environment lead artist and today we will be having a closer look at the development of the Royal Court rooms.

This is a feature that we’ve been working hard on and it represents a great new step in bringing this historical era to life. Additionally, the Duke is a nice promotion from Count but going from Duke to King was quite the same experience but in bigger. Royal Court aims to bring new features to Kings & Emperors titles levels so it makes a bigger difference from a Duke.

November 25, 1177 - Baldwin IV of Jerusalem defeats Saladin & the Ayyubid at the Battle of Montgisard. The Muslim army was quickly routed and Saladin fled back to Cairo, reaching the city on 8 December, with only a tenth of his army.

If you are planning on capturing Holdings, you better pack some Siege Weapons such as the early Onagers to tear down enemy fortifications by hurling stones at them! These Men-at-Arms, can cut Siege Progress by weeks if not months!
