Yes, some cosmetics were given out in error. A future update will patch them out for those who weren't meant to have them. Enjoy them whilst you have them though!

Nope sad_sheikh it wasn't something normally given out when you prestiged at all. It was given out at a very specific point, and only to those who had prestiged before 24th Nov.2016 - it was a one-off thing to reward the players for staying with the game and for supporting it at that time.

Legacy was given out to players who Prestiged prior to the 24th November 2016. They can no longer be earned in game.
