Today I played a game until I got kicked out at round 6 because of a DDOS attack, 1 person in each team didn't seem to be effected by it. Then I got disconnected and couldn't reconnect again. Never checked but probably got an abandon sanction too. In any case, I am once again begging for R6 Siege team to penalize players depending on the round of disconnect instead of equally penalizing players who disconnect (intentionally or not) at round 2 vs round 9 and to reinforce their servers against such DDOS attacks because they seem to happen way too often compared to any other game I have ever played.

Will action be taken?

Yeah, we’ll let Steam handle it.

.. So does that mean you guys aren’t going to do anything? I feel like I’m reading this wrong

He's definitely breaking the Steam ToS in several ways. We're doing what we can, but believe it or not, this is the first time in 3 million copies sold, that this has happened, so the initial handling is a bit of a bother to set up and it happened at an inopportune time. We now have a tool set up for blacklisting SteamID's, and while that is circumventable, it's going to be a bother for him to do it. A bigger bother than for us to block him when he does.

I'll probably also call his mom or something.

@erkek2000 Hey there, I'm sorry to hear you encountered this, and I appreciate the feedback concerning being punished for unintentional disconnects. Our teams understand that this is frustrating, and they're taking a deeper look into how we can improve on this. Check out the Twitter thread below for more info.

While this post is specific to instances our players had been encountering last week, our teams continue to look into improving this penalty system.

Additionally, if you suspect a DDOS attack, please reach out to our Support Team via our Support Website, Twitter DMs, or Facebook PMs with further information, so we can get this reported to the proper teams.

@nurtofaste hello and welcome to Discussions.

I would be more than happy to assist you, but I am afraid I don't understand your question, could you please clarify it for me?
I can see you provided two forum links related to different games but can not see the question itself.

Thank you in advance.
