Hey CMDR,
From the in-game main menu, please head to "options" -> "Network settings" and make sure the correct network adapter is selected, if you're using a VPN or software such as Hamachi, or your PC have multiple network adapters installed, this can default incorrectly.
After changing to the correct network adapter, you'll need to restart the game before attempting to play again.

If you unlink your frontier account from the current steam account and then relink to your brother's steam account, you will have all your progress as they are bound to the frontier account.
