The new content doesn't require a restart to enjoy, the game world should automatically update to add the new content :)

Thank you! It really feels good to see people so excited for our game, especially so early on in early access. We still have so much more we want to add <3

Such a beautiful build, I love it! Does your graphics card get upset at you from all those plant props being in one place? 😂

Greetings, Flameborn!

Our first update is finally here! Just a few weeks ago we were releasing our first roadmap, and now we’re already ticking a bunch of these boxes… As a team, it feels good! Our goal for each update is to include new content, new features, improvements to existing features, as well as the usual fixes and polish.

The biggest part of the update is undoubtedly the Hollow Halls. You can read more on them below, but a word of advice before you proceed: the encounters will test your mettle and we strongly recommend preparing well and bringing your best food items, as well as campfires to rest during your exploration. It is possible to run these as a solo player, but it might be a very challenging experience, and we recommend bringing some friends along. If you team up with strangers, remember that you can ... You can also use "uneven" surfaces/walls (thx to u/lebalsie362) for the input!
Proof of concept: https://www.youtube.com/shorts/Xl6sCgB79OM

edit: btw - i "found" this strange candle behaviour when i build the eye of sauron in my Barad Dur build: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zyVhxli-l50 while i was moving across the top of the eye where i placed like 200 candles ..

Very strange discoveries! Great finds <3

You inspire me, Helldiver. Now get back out there and fend off the shroud!

There will definitely be improvements, changes, and additions to combat over time. This roadmap is not a complete list of everything we will be doing. It's moreso a list of specific features we already have planned and are fairly confident will happen in this timeframe.

I think we probably assumed that this was somewhat implied, and that having a generic "combat improvements" node on this roadmap would be a waste of space, but in hindsight it's important enough to players that we probably should have made that a bit more clear. But yeah this roadmap is not a complete list of everything we will add in 2024, there's simply way too many things on our radar to possibly fit them all in one image. It's a list of things we already know are planned.

There's also much more stuff we're discussing internally that may or may not happen, but we don't want to make promises until we're confident in them.

Pretty much haha, we saw how awesome those builds looked and couldn't resist ;)

We want to add more blocks of different angles in the future, it's definitely something we have planned. Our game is on a voxel grid, similar to games like Minecraft, so letting people "leave" that grid and place things at non-90 degree angles wouldn't really be possible. But differently shaped blocks can achieve the same effect, and should be very doable. Similar to the roof blocks we already have.

Only thing stopping me from playing.

This complaint is definitely on our radar, like the other commenter said the "Improved Post-Processing" node in the roadmap encompasses that :)
