cleanupguy5 said: Every ~2 months the game freezes for around 10 seconds, I have seen this in two games in 1.34 that I have been playing until ~1640 at which point the issue renders the game unplayable. It usually occurs on a random day of the month (not the month tick) and I can't see any particular action in the game that is causing it to stutter like this, i.e. no big wars, no huge battles, it sometimes occurs while the game is just running at speed 3, sometimes it happens after I click something but then I click it again and it doesn't freeze. I have verified the game files in steam as well as clean uninstalled the game and that has not resolved the issue. I play on mac if that is relevant and it has been able to handle post-revoke vassal swarm in the late game in previous patches just fine, no mods either. I have been really enjoying 1.34 so if there is a fix please help!
This has only happened since 1.34 , are you saying?

If you revert to a 1.33.x patch in the Steam betas tab and test with a new campaign then, do you still get this behaviour?

Please attach here your Documents/Paradox Interactive/EU4/settings.txt and pdx_settings.txt .
From your Documents/Paradox Interactive/EU4/logs/ folder, attach here system.log , error.log .

Also in Steam please click on Steam-Help-System Info, and paste everything there into a text file and attach that here.

You are running the game in openGL mode, which is always slower than DirectX - can I ask why that is?

Please remove that launch option and let us know if that helps.

Sorry, a brainfade on my part - the game always runs in openGL on MacOS.

However I see this Mac only has an Intel video system, which is probably contributing to the problem, minimum requirements are:

Graphics:ATI Radeon HD 6750 / NVIDIA GeForce 320 / NVIDIA GeForce 9600 or higher, 1024MB graphics memory required

But why it is so much worse than the 1.33.x patches i do not know, I don't think that's the general experience. Have you tried reducing the game resolution and graphics quality settings?
