So we've chatted and the sentiment on removing the level entirely is split within the community, so we aren't doing that for now.

Importantly, progress on the crown grab fix:

For Season 2.5, we thought we'd deployed a fix that would help a large portion of these errors, but it really didn't do that for us. We've been working hard on a fix for this and explored many options, but ultimately, we're going to be deploying a change in Season 3 that separates the mechanic for grabbing the crown from the rest of the grabs. I am not very literate with game mechanics, but I hope that makes sense.

This should fix instances like this one - however, some misses will 100% be down to lag. Those situations won't be fixed - most often we see it when two players grab at almost the same time. We're working on improving visibility of your connection in-game to indicate when a player is experiencing high latency.

We kept this in because it's pretty difficult to keep yourself there - especially if other beans start trying to join ya, so kinda earned if you last the round.

We had a blast on last week's stream and I'm glad you found it useful, and I understand about your frustration regarding updates and transparency. I'm working on improving that communication wise here - please do tag me when you see something and I'll do my best to see and action it.

The crown grab mechanic was the focus of conversation today for us internally, and I'll be able to give some updates ASAP on that once I've checked a few things off. We're about to stream though so it's likely to be tomorrow as we finish pretty late. I promise we don't dislike giving dates, but I've taken that with the rest of the feedback regarding transparency. We'd never want that to be how you guys feel at all, and we're working on improving tangible updates VS just general funposting stuff. This should be a change you feel really soon!...

I'm actually responding to a thread about that at the moment, but just chatting to the team about it at the same time :) I haven't been hugely active on here for the past weekish so miss a lot of threads.

I am all for open discussions on anything to do with the game.

I just want to start by saying 80% of what we're see on Twitter are not open discussions. We get daily death threats and awful things chucked our way over saying the word yeet - let that sit for a sec. I don't think this issue is as deep as it's become, and I don't think it's OK to harass anyone online just because some have deemed a meme not funny. That's wild to me and I thoroughly discourage that behaviour. I get personal attacks too now - and I don't run our Twitter. Madness!

Your comment regarding updates is something we take really seriously, and we have a lot coming up for you! We hear you on that :). Stay tuned for plenty of updates on S3 soon on that profile, and our other channels. We have a GREAT discord run by a bunch of fantastic jellybeans that you might find a better way of getting communications than our Twitter, for example.

I can't really give specifics :D you know how it is, we have a wider team, and there are lots of things to sort out, so I can't even give you a ballpark timeframe without making a whoopsie.

Thanks for the feedback :D and agreed - hard mode variations are my fave so loving this too.

However, we also often chat about making sure the game is accessible to many different types of players. A lot of young'uns really love the game and some of the variations are too hard for them, for example. It's all about balance for us - and tweaking that over time - but really happy to read this!
