Thanks for the feedback on this! Going forward, we're going to reduce the requirements for this challenge and other Nuclear Winter challenges that are too time consuming or too tough so that they're more manageable in a shorter time. Please keep posting feedback about these and we'll continue to adjust!

Hi! On the Nuclear Winter front, we're hearing feedback that some of those daily challenges are particularly time consuming. (For example, the recent one over the weekend that asked you to kill 9 creatures.)

Going forward, we're going to reduce the requirements for that one and others as needed to help them feel more achievable in a shorter time. Please keep calling out any dailies that are too tough or too time consuming and we'll re-evaluate them!

Also, (and I'm excited about this one) we experimented with some bonus daily challenges over the weekend and we're going to add them back every day this week. You should have 9 daily challenges again starting tomorrow through July 20. We will also look into doing this more in the future as well.

We're also still working hard to address the issue that can cause daily and weekly challenges to auto-complete. We're aiming to hotfix tomorrow to add logging that will help us track down the root of the issue more effe...

I... haven’t opened a ticket yet... simply stopped playing in the hopes it was some kind of lag. I’ll check and see if it’s still doing it and open a ticket if it is... standby... and thank you for your attention!

Edit: I’ve opened a ticket, texted with an Axel and got told there’s nothing I can do but wait 72 hours and maybe it might fix itself, or open a ticket with Steam. Evidently Bethesda doesn’t help Steam players.

Can you still send me that ticket number anyways? I'd like to get more eyes on this.

I've already tried everything except switching the files over to my C: drive. I just have 150g on it since it's an SSD.

It's a long shot but any chance /u/ladydevann or /u/valseek could shed some light on us?

Hey u/TheModerateTraveller and u/OneArmedGamer666 can you both Dm your ticket numbers? We'll get this sorted out for you!

Moving it back to the old drive reproduces the issue :(

Okay I may have a fix for you here:

Copy the file "Project76.ini" from this folder "D:\Program Files\ModifiableWindowsApps\Fallout 76\" to your "My Games\Fallout 76" folder. Start the Game. Note: The Project76.ini will be on the drive you installed the game on. The example above assumes it was installed on the "D" drive.

Greatly appreciate that, thank you very much!

Would be great if I could keep it on my other drive. Just barely have the space for it on my C drive.

So this seems to be install related. I'd be curious if it worked if you moved it back to the previous drive (I understand if you don't want to transfer it again as its a massive file.)

Hey, OP here. Just so you know, installing the game via gamepass on a drive separate to your OS drive seems to be the culprit. Moved to C: today and can play the game. Others reporting the same. I previously had the game installed on an NVME drive.

Thank you for that! We're investigating why that is happening so we can implement changes to fix it.

the workarounds help me too, but it gets frustrating when you‘re in a big interior location like Arktos Pharma that spawns hostile robots on the constant. then i have to put myself through a new loading screen and also fight the robots outside/run away from the location. that can take like three minutes and in that time One Violent Night has ended. just an example, because that one got me to post about it today. again, thanks for the feedback! it‘s very appreciated when you guys are in contact with us. sorry for the foul language in my OP :b

Haha no worries I completely understand. It is a frustrating one to experience! They're very passionate about getting to the root causes of this one.

well at least you‘re working on it, that‘s good. thanks for the feedback.

you never came across that bug yourself? it might have something to do with bloodied builds and/or mutations.

I come across it when I play as well. I've noticed if I walk away from where I'm at it will let me fast travel. I think one of the reasons it happens is when an enemy is nearby (I notice it a lot when I do Path to Enlightenment.) so walking away gets you away from them.

Hey there! There are a few different things going on with this particular bug that have been difficult to narrow down. It's definitely on our radar and we're working on addressing it as soon as we can.
