Because MONEY!

We will go free to play when the game is ready for it. I see you saying there is 100 different answers but the answer is always the same: It's missing features we want to be ready before that happens, including the stability of the game.

If we went F2P now, there would be a surge of players in the short term, sure, but that's not what we want.

We still need a bot mode and interactive tutorial for new player onboarding instead of just dropping them straight into PVP. This is essential and something we are actively working hard on. This could be the best game ever made, 0 bugs, perfect balance, 1000 heroes covering every single play style imaginable, but if you force new players into a real game and they get dunked on from the get go, they will not want to keep playing.

Mastery system and other player retention incentives are also needed to keep players engaged.

Another thing is making sure we have finalized our content release pipeline to make sure th...

GAME MECHANICS
General Starting Gold
  • Starting gold has been reduced from 650 to 550.
The early game is a crucial, high-stakes phase of a MOBA that requires very key decision making and technical execution to successfully battle it out with your lane opponent. Since Fault has released, we've offered enough gold at the start of a match to allow for laners to buy 1-2 refillable health and mana potions, each with 2 charges that refresh when entering base, and this has allowed for high levels of relatively cheap sustainability during the lane phase. This has multiple implications, from allowing poor decision making and execution to have fewer repercussions (if one takes a poor trade, healing/mana regeneration is always available) to removing the strategy from choosing if more sustain through consumable or refillable potions are necessary in a given situation (especially on heroes with little to no regeneration in their kits). Due to this, we are ma... Read more

Welcome!
Welcome to this week's blog post.

As we stated last week we have changed our blog post format from weekly to bi-weekly, this is to coincide with our new bi-weekly patches.

We have alot of exciting things coming up and can not wait to share it with you all, but for now, we would like to talk about toxicity and showcase some upcoming content!

Support and Toxicity
Our support team has been working non-stop to do the best we can to battle toxicity in the game, in the past 2 months a whopping 12,739 bans have been issued by our team. While we understand this is a competitive game and that environment can lead to heated moments in chat, we want to do all we can to ensure players both old and new feel comfortable in-game.

We encourage everyone to use the report and mute functions found in the scoreboard tab and endgame screen, shown below.
