This issue was fixed yesterday, so if you haven't had a chance to do so yet, fire up your games and let me know if you're able to unlcok/play Kyoshin. If not, I'll send this thread over to Ubisoft Support for further assistance.

That's one of the issues covered, yes! Also PlayStation Store (purchasing doesn't grant the Kyoshin) + Xbox (in-game store has incorrect redirect).
These are the specific issues I know we're looking into right now.

Hey all, we're aware of the reported purchase/ownership issues with Kyoshin and investigating. We'll update you as soon as we know more.
Update 1:15pm ET: We are trying various fixes to alleviate the issue. If we can confirm they resolve the problem, we'll let you know ASAP!

There are plenty of tools in game to help you out such as practice modes and trials/tests. I recommend checking out the Dojo like UbiYubble recommended. Even as an older player myself I learn a thing or two from it.
