Is it going to be temporary until stability is improved or is it permanently lowered?
As we stated in the post:

Thanks for the clarity but I believe that the graphics were adjusted on all devices because on the iPad Pro 2020 the graphics look worse than they did prior to the most recent update.
The devices that had graphic settings changed/limited are only the devices listed.

We’ve heard feedback regarding recent graphical quality changes on the iOS platform and wanted to explain the change to you all.
While working on the latest update for Fortnite we needed to adjust the texture pool and graphic settings available on several higher-end devices in order to improve stability (less crashes).
As a result, we reduced the visual quality for the following devices iPad Air 3rd Gen, iPad Mini 5th Gen, iPhone 8 Plus, iPhone X, iPhone XR, iPhone XS, iPhone XS Max, iPhone 11, iPhone 11 Pro, iPhone 11 Pro Max. We will continue to optimize all mobile and handheld platforms in order to ensure the best gameplay experience possible.
EDIT* These changes were made in v12.30 and not v12.40. Sorry for any confusion that may have caused.

I use my right hand side button for build placement as well but i am not reproducing any issues with building in creative or a normal match.

The information that i need to know is what island template you have selected. We are aware of the issue causing players to freeze.
The following information would be helpful in looking into the issue.
I believe that the island preset is the Temperate Island.
if you can check the exact island you were on that would be great.

Hi, just wondering, if you see this, at some point in this extension would we be able to see other ltms like one shot return? Knockout is definitely fun but it'd nice to switch things up after a while. Keep up the great work epic!
We've been focusing on the Spy Games LTM this season, but definitely good to hear which modes have been your favorites.
This is an island you made correct? what preset was it from? The team is looking at this right now trying to reproduce the issue and work on a fix.

Epic did say they are filling this extension with some stuff so I don’t mind this. Last season’s extension was much worse since it was longer and there was nothing to do.
We definitely have some exciting stuff coming in soon.

Did you have Frosty Fortress Island selected or a different island?
How long are you sitting at this screen, during first install it may take a couple of minutes to get past this screen.
