We agree that the messaging on the Xbox One S Fortnite Bundle was unclear and so will be granting free access to Save the World for those who purchased the bundle.

We are going to begin identifying players who have claimed the Eon Bundle and will be granting their accounts access to Save the World. We will also make sure that all future players who claim the Eon Bundle will be granted access to Save the World moving forward.

If you already had purchased Save the World and claimed the Eon Bundle, we will be granting you an additional 2,000 V-Bucks.

We hope to have an update shortly on the exact timing of entitlements.

UPDATE 12/27 - We'll begin the process of granting retroactive entitlements early next week when our offices reopen for the new year. We will provide an additional update on the progress of the grants around that time.

We've deployed a fix addressing the issues encountered earlier today. Login and Game Services have been restored and the elf is back on the shelf. Players that have earned the Take The Elf Emote will now receive it as a gift or immediately after completion.

We should be in recovery now.

Quick summary is that deploying a fix for elf challenge reward not being granted exposed a latent bug in our profile migration code (the code that fixes up players).

This caused players to be kicked etc and triggered our waiting room.

We fixed the issue and deployed a new backend, however didn’t see recovery in login success.

This ended up due to “sticky session” configuration having been lost on our waiting room load balances when moving them to ALBs.

This meant that there was a 90% chance of having to requeue after hitting the front of the line. D’oh.

This should all be fixed now and we are seeing recovery in numbers / login throughout / waiting room / etc.

Fortnite hasn’t been banned in China. It’s operating in a closed beta in China while awaiting approval for a commercial release there.

I’m the founder and controlling shareholder in Epic. Tencent is an investor in Epic alongside many others. Epic maintains strict control over all user data. Tencent does not have access to Epic user data. No outside companies have access to Epic user data. We don’t share it, sell it, or broker access to it through advertising as so many other companies do.

We have identified an issue with the Take the Elf emote not being granted to players after completing the Day 8 challenge. We will grant this reward to all players that earned it early next year.

We just released a fix for accurate memory tracking in Creative Mode.

You'll notice a change in your memory usage on all islands.

Unfortunately there's nothing we can do about the vehicles that are showing up when they aren't supposed to in the Block until January, but we'll make sure to get it straightened up in the New Year. We wanted to start getting user generated content into the game as soon as possible and unfortunately ran out of time to get vehicle filtering working. So while mobile and Switch players are currently able to see this tab, it's not functioning properly. This is unintended and they'll be a hotfix to remove this tab shortly. Sorry for any confusion this caused.

Summary​

It's time for the ultimate dance-off. Dance Floors have spawned around the Battle Royale island. Take them over by clearing out any enemies and then dancing to raise a disco ball up from the floor. The team that earns the most points by capturing and defending the dance floors will win the match!
