Thanks for posting about this. 6.2 hasn’t been finalised yet and shouldn’t have gone live.

I’ve reported it to the team and I’ve given them your invite code @Westlake to see if we can allow your account to be allowed back onto version 6.1 without upsetting your account data (and to see if we can do the same for anyone else who has unintentionally ended up on v6.2 early).

We’re also following up with the team responsible for the game on the stores to see if we can have the correct version put back up.

Update on this:

We’re currently deploying a fix, so that players who have unintentionally been updated to version 6.2 can go back to version 6.1. This means if you’ve been updated to 6.2 on your Amazon Store devices like your fire tablet then you can go back to playing on your other devices that have 6.1 installed.

We have sent a message to make sure version 6.1 gets put back onto the Amazon store. The 6.2 update won’t be playable any more and there will be a message to go back to version 6.1 in the meantime.

You may need to reinstall on your Fire tablet once we have put version 6.1 back on the Amazon Store.

I will most likely have more news about this issue tomorrow morning (as it’s 7pm here now).

Hey all,

The team is currently still investigating what can be done to get Amazon players back onto 6.1.5. I have been grabbing any tickets that have come through for this as well or directing players to the Known Issues article.

As @s-wolff shared if you are able to download Google Play onto your Fire tablet, there are some more options available to you to download the current live version of Gems of War.
Also, I am currently following up with the development team why players are experiencing issues attempting to manually direct download the Amazon APK file from our Help Centre, as it should not require you to download Google Play for it to work.

I completely understand how infuriating this is for everyone and appreciate your patience, once there is any more information or I have some further steps on installing the APK without any issues I’ll jump back into this thread.

Hello Adventurers,

We wanted to give small update with the 6.2 Update early release on Amazon.

Unfortunately after talking to Amazon and looking into this, once an update is released on a platform we are unable roll the update back to the previous one. This means that we cannot revert the Amazon Store to go back to the 6.1.5 update.

We apologize to the players who have been affected by this. We are putting in steps to try to prevent this happening again in the future. We are also currently looking into compensation for Amazon players once the 6.2 update officially releases.

As Jeto has mentioned, the dev team is investigating why some players have been experiencing problems with the apk that has been shared. The apk should be the same version as the one that was available on the Amazon Store originally.

Currently we suggest that affected players, either downloading Google Play on your Amazon device to try and download the game that way (as shared by @s-wolff).
Or if you have set up account linking for your account, you can use it to play on an alternative device such as Steam, iOS or another Android device using account linking.
