New Epic Troop: Aransi the Guardian

Aransi the Guardian will be available this week for 400 Glory in the shop as well as in Event Chests, and will appear in Glory, Gem, and Guild chests in 3-4 weeks’ time.

World Event: The Emerald Light

There are 6 battles that players can encounter during the event: Aransi the Guardian, Spinnerette, Tomb Spider, Webspinner, Matron Velenne, and the Arachnaean Weaver. This event has 3 Phases:

• Phase 1 – The first 2 battles are the only available battles to play, and have an equal chance of appearing. Players will need to win 15 battles here to progress to the next phase.
• Phase 2 – The first 4 battles are the only available battles to play, and have an equal chance of appearing. Players will need to win 15 battles here to progress to the next phase.
• Phase 3 – All 6 battles are now available with an equal chance of appearing. This phase continues until the end of the event.

Scoring
You can find the following rewards for each of the different battles you may encounter.

• Aransi the Guardian: 10 Spiders
• Spinnerette: 5 Spiders
• Tomb Spider: 6 Spiders
• Webspinner: 8 Spiders
• Matron Velenne: 10 Spiders
• Arachnaean Weaver: 12 Spiders

Each Spider is worth 1 point. As the battles against Aransi the Guardian get harder, they will increase the amount of Spiders given by 10%. The battle against the Arachnaean Weaver will drop a variable number of Spiders (on average about 1.18x the base amount).

Archproxy Yvendra Event Chest Exclusive:

Archproxy Yvendra will be exclusive Mythic in event chests during her exclusive period this week. When it ends, players will be able to earn the Arachnaean Weaver from Events chests as normal.

They are created ahead of schedule, just having some posting issues this morning.

So I thought I would jump in and manually share it for everyone, even though a community member linked to the direct post this morning

There has been some questions whether the Archproxy Yvendra’s mythic exclusivity applied to event chests as well. The answer is yes, mythic exclusive applies to Event chests when the new Mythic is from the weekly event Kingdom.

We try to keep new mythic releases away from events in their home kingdoms during this period. Unfortunately the timing of her release and this week’s event, meant it wasn’t possible.

When Archproxy Yvendra’s mythic exclusivity ends, the Arachnaean Weaver will become available as a potential mythic troop in Event chests.

The reason the new Mythic Troop is exclusive in Event Chests when its Kingdom is the weekly Event Kingdom is because we made it this way roughly 4 years ago based on feedback from the community.

It is very rare that the weekly event Kingdom during the new Mythic exclusivity period is the Kingdom the new Mythic belongs to. We apologise we didn’t add Event Chests to the news post in game in this special case.

Unfortunately, it’s not possible to rollback all the Keys spent as it’s not a simple solution and it could cause more problems than that specific solution would be worth.

We really do understand the frustration around this, and we’re sorry the schedule lined up like this. In future we will be looking at doing 2 things:

• Avoiding having the new Mythic Troop’s Kingdom be the weekly event Kingdom during the new Mythic’s exclusivity period

• On any occasion where we can’t avoid the above, editing the News post temporarily to include Event Chests in the list of Chests the exclusivity period applies to

We are sorry this happened, and we’ll do our best to just avoid this situation altogether in future.

From this Monday’s weekly reset (ROUGHLY 7am GMT Monday 18th of October), a special recipe for crafting Arachnaean Weaver will be in the Soulforge. The recipe will cost half as much as the usual recipe for Arachnaean Weaver.

This recipe will be removed from the Soulforge on Monday 25th of October at ROUGHLY 7am GMT (weekly reset).

The time is ROUGHLY 7am GMT because this is a recipe that needs to be manually added and removed from the Soulforge.

I understand this isn’t one of the exact outcomes that was hoped for by everyone, but this was the best compromise we could come up with given this was working as intended.

Just for clarity, this is going to be our final response to this issue as this is all the information we have about it and what is being done about it. We will of course continue collecting your feedback though.

I have never laughed about anyone dying of covid, and any light comment I made about Covid was at the very beginning of the pandemic, possibly before it was even labelled a pandemic. I have apologised to you in the past that my comment caused hurt/offence.

My own cousin has died of covid so I definitely do not take it lightly.

Melbourne has been locked down for over 250 days since the pandemic began. More than any other city in the world. As I write this we still have rules about why we can leave the house, how far we can travel and we have a curfew. It’s obviously not a laughing matter.

I’ve edited a comment that implied violence against IP2 staff, while I know it was metaphorical, you wouldn’t believe how seriously some people can take such suggestions.

If there’s any further references to violence against IP2 staff or our property I will be locking the thread.
