We like to keep keywords to one set. All other Echo cards rotate out before this one, so it doesn’t make sense to have a keyword on a single card in a set. For a new player to jump in to Hearthstone, it can be difficult to learn a bunch of new keywords. By limiting the number of keywords that people have to learn, the easier it is to play Hearthstone. Witch’s Brew doesn’t suffer from being unreadable if we take the keyword off.

Once minions are on the battlefield, their Costs are treated as the normal Cost for their card. This applies to Giants, discounted minions, and other 1/1 things. So if you have Dorian on the battlefield and you draw a 5 Cost minion, even though the minion on the board is 1/1, the Cost for that minion is 5. If you cast Conjurer’s Calling on the 1/1 minion, you’d end up with two normal sized 5 Cost minions.

Maybe I should Coin->Life Tap more often to take full advantage of the 2nd one I draw on Turn 2.

That’s what happens with me every time I play with it. ;p

I agree with the others saying watching streamers is a good idea. One thing that helped me learn was watching tournaments. Having casters talk about decisions the players are making was very useful to me. It gets you in the headspace of “Why am I playing these cards and what things do I need to worry about?”

If you’re truly really really new, I suggest finding a class you enjoy playing and dive in deep on that. Learn that class in and out by playing it and you’ll learn what sorts of things you lose to and what your class is good at. Don’t be afraid to change your deck or look online for suggestions.

Losing is a part of learning. Whether it’s work, school, or games - the faster you fail and identify why you’re failing, the faster you can improve.

Quite powerful, I imagine we’ll be seeing lots of Slurper in Shaman decks for the next two years. Lackeys were interesting enough gameplay for us that we thought putting some power behind this card was a good idea. Hope you like it!

This is pretty reasonable feedback, if we’re going to do a reddit AMA we should throw something up here as well. In retrospect it would have been good to see if you all had any questions and answer them in that thread.

Dire Frenzy is probably my favorite under utilized card.

Wild hasn’t recently been dominated by those cards, at least post nerfs. Even Shaman and Odd Rogue were two of the most consistent Wild decks and both were taken down a bit by the changes to Flametongue and Cold Blood.

For now, we want to check out what perception and data looks like post expansion launch and see where the Wild meta lands.

The blog mentioned this, but it’s mostly a future proofing thing. If Druid is very weak at single target removal it makes it easier to give them cards that make them great at other things. When you play against Druid one of the gameplay identities of that class is that they will have a hard time dealing with giant creatures. Naturalize going away reinforces that.

We’ve had this feedback about Dungeon Run style adventures in the past, so for the first Adventure in the Year of the Dragon we’ll be introducing both Normal and Heroic modes.

Normal mode should be easier than you’re used to from Dungeon Run and Monster Hunt, while Heroic will be a bit more challenging. We’ll also continue to tune these post-release!

I respect this Pokemon analogy. Who are you saving your master ball for?

Also, I’m hyped for the new forums, I think they look great! We just announced all the stuff we were ready to talk about here:

Heh… curious. The dev post color is the same blue it seems as the Blizz rep color for these forums (Overwatch devs is Orange, Heroes is purple).
