We’ve temporarily disabled the Tavern Brawl mode and expect it to return tomorrow, Thursday the 14th. Some players were encountering some issues after matches have concluded, and these were serious enough that we wanted to take the mode down entirely.

We’re planning to bring the mode back tomorrow and will be rotating in a different Tavern Brawl for the rest of the week. We’ll provide an update at that time to let everyone know that the mode has been enabled again and give you a heads up of what Tavern Brawl we’ve rotated in.


11/14/2019 UPDATE: As mentioned yesterday in this post, we came across some major issues that resulted in us needing to disable Tavern Brawl. Right now, we are re-enabling Tavern Brawl and have swapped it over to a new one, Top Three.

NOTE: We have identified an issue in which some players may still be unable to play Tavern Brawl. The team is working to resolve this as soon as we can.

We are in the process of putting out a small update that corrects a few issues introduced with 15.0.

  • Titanic Lackey has been brought back down to size and will no longer appear to have a head full of clouds

  • A few other card art and animation issues introduced in 15.0 have been corrected

Please also note that the recently introduced Plague Lord health persistence issue is something we are aware of, but is not contained in this update. We’re working hard on a fix for this and will update as soon as possible.

Hi all,

We’re aware that the Titanic Lackey’s golden variant has seemingly become a bit too Titanic, and now appears to have his head in the clouds. This is a card art issue that was introduced with the 15.2 patch and only affects the appearance of the card (and only the golden version): all gameplay will function normally. We’re currently planning to resolve this in an upcoming game update, but this is not scheduled for another few weeks. Until then, please forgive Titanic Lackey’s clouded appearance.

UPDATE 2: We’ve fixed everything up internally, so now we just need to start the process of getting the build out live to you. This takes a bit of time, so please be patient and look for the update to be live later today. Note that mobile is usually live a little later than PC.

UPDATE: In order to fix everything up as quickly as possible, we’re instead going to push the 15.2 patch back a little bit. We originally intended to launch at 10:00 PDT, but this is going to be delayed. We’re not expecting a long delay. Look for more updates soon.

Hi all - as we worked to patch the game to version 15.2 today, the teams encountered an issue with Tavern Brawl. We’re going to be taking Tavern Brawl down temporarily to address things and get it all in tip-top shape before we reenable the mode. We fully expect this to happen later today unless other issues crop up.

It’s a fair assumption to think all expansion keywords are that expansion only unless stated otherwise. Sometimes we have a mechanic that makes sense to keep around in Hearthstone long-term (Rush, Discover) but we let most keywords live in one set only so they rotate to Wild cleanly and make way for new keywords to learn.

Wow I didn’t see that. I was just reading the forums as I usually do and thought the thread was a good place for insight, even if we disagree.

What makes the current reborn quest powerful isn’t really the reborn minions themselves, but what you can do with the hero power. There are enough reborn minions from Uldum alone that allow Paladin to fairly easily complete the quest. Right now, they are using cards like Mechano-Egg and Mechanical Whelp as the payoff cards once the quest is complete. It’s likely we’ll make other cards that are great with the quest payoff over time, making the quest feel a bit different with each set.

No need to worry Smoochers, they’re both still available and are the same rarities as when they were released.

Perhaps it’s just been a streak of unfortunate luck if you’re hunting for those two specific passive treasures.

In the next balance update we’ll be reducing the power of his Hero Power in Heroic, and making him appear less often.

We just released our first balance patch for The Dalaran Heist. This mostly targets bosses in Heroic mode.

We’ll continue to monitor difficulty as new content releases.

We’re actively looking at player data to find outliers in Heroic that are ‘too easy’ or ‘too hard’ compared to other bosses around that tier.

Linzi is on that list of ‘too hard’, so we’ll be addressing her (and others) soon™!

The interaction between Taunt and Immune is similar to the interaction of Taunt and Stealth. If a Taunt minion possesses either of these other keywords, it stops working until that keyword is removed.

These interactions have been in Hearthstone since the start, but Immune as a Keyword in the collectible set is quite rare and typically doesn’t last more than a turn.

We’ve just released a hotfix to address a few issues with The Dalaran Heist.

  • Fixed an issue that caused Duplatransmogrifier to delete all minions in your deck if you select a minion that was buffed by a Friendly Encounter card.
  • Fixed an issue that caused Duplatransmogrifier to modify your deck when played by the AI.
  • Fixed an unintended interaction with Elixir of Vigor and the “next” effects caused by cards like Electra Stormsurge.
  • Fixed an issue that could cause poor performance under certain conditions.
  • Some players may be brought to a blank screen when attempting to play The Dalaran Heist.

The following are current known issues that are still being researched and scheduled for a fix.

  • Bartender Bob may sometimes display an empty dialog bubble when leaving a Friendly Encounter.
  • When using the “Gangs All Here” effect on a buffed minion in a Friendly Encounter, the...

Would agree with most in this thread to say that the cards that fit least with your deck are Goblin Bomb and maybe Cybertech, though that one I like because it’s fun!

I would suggest trying to use the ‘complete my deck’ feature on various cards in your deck. For example, you can just take out the Goblin Bombs and then use complete my deck to see what cards in your collection our data thinks is the best fit. We upgraded the complete my deck feature in the last few months to the point where it’s absurdly accurate. Give it a try.
