I got some insider info from a person who was in closed playtests and knows a person from dev team.
Apparently, Arrowhead wanted to have 3 OBTs (1 on PS5 and 2 on PC), but Sony declined since it costs resources to organize those and they didn't want to spend too much money on a "niche unpopular game".
Said person was working on backend and reported to his Team Lead multiple times that they REALLY need to have a proper load test (OBT), but was ignored since said TL himself didn't believe game had a chance to become popular and overload servers. In the end he go so frustrated by bad management he left the company.
I bet he feels quite vindicated right now)
Uuh, guys, I think we have a propaganda campaign going on here with this one. Automaton detected?!
As a fan since the early days of HD1, I cannot put to words just how much I am enjoying HD2. You have quite literally made every aspect of the first game better. I cannot wait to see what comes next. I’ll also add, I know what it’s like working long hours trying to fix a computer issue, so send props to the team from a soldier overseas for their commitment!
High praise indeed, thank you. Glad you're enjoying both games!
I played a couple rounds last night knowing full well I was probably not going to get anything for it. I just wanted to play some. Fingers crossed they get this sorted out soon.
Thank you for your contribution to the cause.
Is there any possibility of improving performance mode resolution and graphics quality on PS5? 1080p is quite rough to look at...
I'm not really qualified to answer if it is possible or not.
The performance mode is there to maximise framerate without too many compromises to visual quality, but something will have to suffer for it. We do have people working towards finding performance gains, so hopefully we'll be able to give you some good news in the not too distant future.
Hijacking to deliver a high five directly to my target; Arrowhead always knocks it out of the park with their games and HD2 is no different.
I can forgive network issues at launch, everything else about HD2 brings me and my friends such immense joy, please convey my gratitude to any nearby coworkers.
Thank you very much, we are working as hard as we can to fix the issues as quickly as possible. Thank you for your patience and keep spreading managed democracy!
Why the f**k are abilities and weapons in a battlepass? That should be locked behind a natural progression system, not a stupid battle pass. f**king hell.
The base warbond "Helldivers Mobilize" is the base progression of the game and every player has access to it from the start. Earn medals while playing and spend them here to unlock weapons and armor.
If you want access to weapons in the premium warbonds, you will need to spend Super Credits to gain access, after that you use medals as normal.
Super Credits can be bought, but you can also find them in missions, and you can also unlock some Super Credits in the base warbond to get you started.
UE dev, nah, that’s a clear root motion issue
We don't actually use root motion for the helldiver, we wanted to avoid having animations drive movement because it tends to reduce responsiveness. We're very happy with how well the helldiver controls, but that means we run into these kinds of issues here and there.
There is also no root motion during transition from lying down to run (the character starts to move several frames ahead while being still on the ground). I would prevent moving at several first frames and increase animation speed a bit to not slow down mobility
Hello! Yes, these are known issues that will be adressed when I can steal myself some coder time. We have been very much focused on higher prioritized issues leading up to launch, so these kind of problems had to be downprioritized. There is nothing I'd like more than seeing these fixed too :)
