For clarity, you are only unable to use these skins in draft modes such as Ranked, Unranked, and Custom lobbies with Drafts enabled correct?

Hello friends,

I’ve always believed that strong communication and building trust is paramount to making the world a better place, so I wanted to have the chance to talk with all of you about a change to the team.

I’ve reached a point in my career where I’ve come to the difficult decision to move on to another project. I’ve been a part of the Heroes team for a very long time now, and in order to grow as a person and a designer I believe it’s important to constantly challenge myself in new ways. Hey there everyone!

I wanted to make this sticky post to give the community all the information we currently have regarding the issue players are seeing with mounts and skins being locked out.

First, the beginning. When we released our Hogger patch, a sneaky bug made it’s way in that prevented people from using certain Mounts and Skins.

We’ve since fixed that issue, mostly. Draft game mode (Unranked and Storm League) players are still seeing those same Mounts and Skins locked, preventing you from selecting your Hero of choice.

We are currently investigating that issue now, and apologize for the inconvenience this has caused. I wanted to take some time to address some concerns.

  1. These items are not removed from your account. That means, things you’ve spent gems, gold, shards, etc on were not taken away. You still own those items, they are just locked from use at the moment in draft modes.

Hey Marticus,

This issue was resolved as of Monday’s patch. If you are still seeing issues with Skins or Mounts being removed, you will need to go through Customer Support, as we do not have the ability to verify the content that is or should be unlocked on your account here.

If you are referring to the Ranked issues specifically, then we are currently investigating that as well and would just ask for patience while we try to figure out what is happening here, and find a safe fix that we can do. I apologize for this inconvenience while we work through this issue!

I want to thank you all for your patience while we identified, fixed, and tested this issue. Everyone’s reports were super helpful and I really appreciate all the help!

You should now have access to any and all skins, mounts, etc that you had before this or anything earned / purchased during this.

Hey everyone!

I am so sorry this happened but we are aware of this and looking into it. I appreciate any continued reports of this, and if possible when reporting this, can you let me know what Mount / Skin / etc. you are seeing as locked so I can make sure they all get restored properly.

I also want to confirm that these items are not “removed” from your account, but by the actions of a bug, locked from use. You should regain access to these items without any problem once the issue has been resolved.
