Splodes are a HUGE problem!
- For a game that emphasizes movement and most weapons being hitscan, its crazy that the guns that take little aim are the strongest. With splodes being no risk high reward guns makes competitive players that just want a good br where we can out aim our opponents feel terrible. This spam playstyle that mostly everyone runs is gonna be really bad for this game and for a game that wants players to run multiple loadouts, seems pretty hard to run anything but explosives when they are this far overtuned. I'm not saying that you need to take out splodes (though that would be great), but they need a lot of adjustments.
1. One big thing that I think needs to happen is to make splodes do friendly damage, being able to take a salvo into a building and just spamming it on a player with infinite knockback and no threat on your health I think is bad. Most or maybe all Battle Royale games have friendly splode damage making splodes a good option to take but at a risk if you are not careful with how you shoot it.
2. I know the damage was nerfed, but another nerf in damage is definitely needed, for a gun that takes little aim and has an applied knockback it being one of the most high damaging weapons is really bad. Knowing that it does so much and is really good indoors makes these types of guns a must in most loadouts adding no variety in the game.
3. Remove Gold Splode floor spawns. Within just landing and in a matter of seconds someone has a gold salvo or gold komodo and just start spamming you and with a 9 ammo clip and 28 damage per shot in a gold salvo with knockback, what is there really you can do and with it being so early not having any hacks/guns to outplay this player. You just die so fast. And I know these moments might be rare, they can still happen making that game just a waste of time.
- No hate on the game I do love it and still play it quite a bit, but when in every lobby when 90% of players are just running/spamming splodes makes me not want to play this game, its really a terrible playstyle to play against. I want to be able to go in knowing that a player out aimed me or out played me in a certain way, not to some random guy spamming splodes because they know that its all they need to kill someone. (why try to aim with other guns, when I can just spam this in a persons general position and get kills) and for a game that would actual look cool in a competitive scene, watching every player during a tourney or ranked gameplay run splodes will make watching/playing just not fun at all.
Other Feedback
- Slam should be reworked! Someone being able to use slam in doors making the slam pretty much instant and still does the same damage makes no sense. Slams damage should be based on how long you were in the air for. When you are indoors and someone can just insta slam for a third of your health and knocking you back just doesn't make sense.
- The Harpy is really good addition, pretty balanced and fun to use.
- Ressing a player is still broken, either works the first time or after 5 tries.
- Sometimes when landing your character will freeze making you unable to move unless you recrouch or spam W.
- When a player dies in the air, their loot bugs out making looting their gun impossible, they just bug out in the sky and you can't loot them.
- Having to pump a shotgun after you shoot it is fine, but shooting the gun and switching to another gun to finish a kill, then probably 1 minute later you go invis to surprise someone with your shotgun but because you didn't switch back to your shotgun to pump it becomes this awkward situation of you having to pump your shotgun for a second and then shooting it. Makes using this gun feel slow if you play fast and are swapping guns or using abilities often.
I know this is a lot but for someone who plays this game a ton and enjoys it a lot, this is the feedback I wanted to give and if you made it this far thank you!
