Maybe this will help some new players get a bunch of different trouble shooting methods before having to go back to customer service a million times like I did yesterday.
So up to this point we have:
1. Disabling your background applications:
2. Clearing your temporary files:
3. Make sure the drivers for your video card, sound card, motherboard and processor are up-to-date. Running 2 cards in SLI or running 2 screens can also cause issues. Deactivate SLI or unplug any additional screens you may be using. If you are overclocking, try running at the stock clock settings.
4. Updated windows / windows security / NET Framework
5. Restarted my computer 15 times
6. Re-installed the game twice
DO NOT FOLLOW THESE STEPS: **But I did them and had to un-do them**
I was instructed to commence doing the following:
Windows 8 / 10:
1. From the Windows Start, search for msconfig.
2. Select System Configuration / msconfig.exe from the search results.
3. On the Services tab of the System Configuration dialog box, click to select the Hide all Microsoft services check box, then click Disable all.
4. On the Startup tab of the System Configuration dialog box, click Open Task Manager.
5. On the Startup tab in Task Manager, for each startup item, select the item then click Disable.
6. Close Task Manager.
7. On the Startup tab of the System Configuration dialog box, click OK, then restart the computer.
what ended up happening is that I disabled services for my mother board and my GPU so my integrated graphics card was used and my computer was extremely slow and almost gave me a heart attack. moving on.
I have un-installed all Microsoft Visual C++ applications from my computer and re-downloaded them.
I un-installed my own GPU driver through Nvidia GeForce Experience and did a clean re-install.
I set my nvidia GPU as my primary video card for Hyper Scape.
I checked again for driver updates is all possible areas I know how.
I was then asked to confirm at the GTX 1660ti max q design was compatible. After dealing with Nvidia's customer service that have concluded that it is in-fact compatible with Vulkan.
So after a full 7 hours of research and trouble shooting I am back again today to try my hand in getting this game to work.
