PC player fyi: I believe along with, id hope, many other players in the HyperScape community that explosive weapons are very powerful. These high damage weapons reward both new and experienced players with very easy kills, and wins in a lot of situations, without exerting much effort or demonstration of skill. Yes, I can agree that its more of an appropriate choice for new players to have something they can rely on while they learn the game, but when experienced players are running around with Salvo's and Skybreaker's, clearly the advantage that these low skill weapons offer is being taken advantage of, without a price. My two cents would be to make explosive weapons damage the wielder if within range of their own explosion . I mean, its a pretty obvious mechanic that pretty much all shooters have implemented, because realistically if you're holding a live grenade and it explodes in your hand... it will kill you. Im sick and tired of getting down to the last 2-3 players, and some troglodyte grabs the crowns and camps inside a building with a salvo or komodo, its a near impossible fight... they're not gonna leave the building, so you're forced to play that BS encounter and hope you can land anything but a 4 damage mammoth shot... or maybe search through another house and trade your max level weapon for a level 1 salvo, MAYBE, and then have a ditto fight. its not fun, its brainless, skill-less, and just outright ridiculous that self-damaging explosives is not a mechanic in a FPS GAME... im sure im not the only one who's annoyed by this no brain meta where controller kids just run around with explosives, hexfires, d-taps, you name it. this game is rewarding and encouraging low-skilled players by offering them weapons that do most of the work for them. stop babying controller kids, its not your fault that they wanna use a more "comfortable" but considerably "less capable" input option for a game that they wanna play on PC, PC is mouse and keyboard primarily, thats their decision to throw that option of "higher capability" out the window... so stop rewarding them for it. enough said, fix this Ubisoft. And for others reading this who agree, tweet Ubisoft or whatever and push this request forward.
