I ran in to this issue during the open beta. I uninstalled the game after I couldn't find a fix, and recently tried to come back, hoping the issue had been resolved upon launch.
Things were fine for about a week, but today the issue started happening again. It's pretty simple...I launch the game, and when the announcement screen pops up the entire game freezes. My whole PC locks up, I can't open task manager or perform any other function, and I have to hard reboot.
I am attempting to play the game on an AMD Ryzen 5 3600X and RTX 2080 Super (MSI Gaming X Trio). Motherboard is ASUS TUF x570 Plus. My graphics drivers are at version 452.06. My motherboard BIOS is at the latest level. I have AMD Ryzen Master set to run Precision Boost Overdrive, but turning that off doesn't seem to make a difference. Uninstalling and reinstalling the game also doesn't seem to make a difference.
I don't know what else to try. There are a lot of "Hyperspace Crashing Fix" YouTube videos out there but none of them seem to address my issue specifically, and a lot of the comments say that they don't even work so I haven't bothered to try any of them yet.
