NEW FEATURES

FOV SLIDER ON PS4 AND XBOX ONE

Reminder, that since our update earlier this week, we are now supporting the FOV slider on all generations of PS4 & Xbox One.

Keep in mind that changing the default value might impact the overall visual quality of the game, as it affects the dynamic resolution scaling.

  • Default value: 80
  • Minimum value: 70
  • Maximum value: 105

Developer Notes: You may have noticed the default FOV value has changed from 65 to 80. In fact, the value remains the same, but we converted our FOV measurements from Vertical (65) to Horizontal (80) to match player preference.

 

WEAPONS

Patch 2.2 adjusts some of the changes from patch 2.1 and fixes a major issue with the Komodo.

Hello Community Friends,

I wanted to drop a quick line to let you know that your voices have been more than heard regarding Komodo, as well as the Health Regen changes, and the team is working on an update for later this week. No ETA to share at this time, but we will as soon as we know dates/times.

I know it can be frustrating to feel like a big thing has happened and no one is listening to you about it. I just want to urge you to try and keep perspective on timings of things. The patch has only been out for 4 days, only 2 of which were work days, and while we knew how YOU felt about it very well on Thursday, we still needed time to properly asses the data and the various ripple effects the last patch had across the game. This team works incredibly fast in my experience, but I know it might not feel like that in the heat of the moment when you're getting blasted by Komodos.

Zytiv has put together some videos for original settings for each response curve! I recommend giving them a peek and seeing if that helps. VonSpriggan also put together a video on how to help you determine your optimal settings.

Also, I noticed in this subreddit that people who run shoulder bumper don’t like that you made triangle into instant melee (this should be an option for them too) I personally don’t run it but I’m speaking for them.

Oh! I also wanted to touch on the onboarding experience. The team is very much in the process of lots of tools for the game since swapping to a cell-based format. If you haven't read this blog post yet, I highly encourage you to.

The team has a whole group dedicated specifically to the onboarding experience! This includes things with the training arena and protecting newcomers in the actual mode. The team should have an update to share on their progress very soon!
