Sorry about this! We’re aware of the issues with the current system and plan to improve it soon. In addition, all multiplayer characters will definitely be stored server-side once that is released.

I assure you that we do care - unfortunately, there is nothing we can do to help in this case.

The current location of save data is using the game engine’s default settings. We do want to either add support for Steam Cloud integration or develop an equivalent solution which would also help people using our standalone client to improve the resiliency of locally stored save data; unfortunately that’s just work we haven’t gotten around to doing just yet.

As this discussion is turning hostile, there is nothing we can do to assist you with this, and the question of whether this is a bug has been answered I am going to close the thread.
