[2020] Game menus don't respond to my clicks unless I hold SHIFT key

Thanks. The log file confirms that the game is rapidly switching between your keyboard and mouse and joystick. This is a known issue and we are working on a fix, but for now the best option is to leave the joystick unplugged.
