[2022] Hey Amazon, great you have at least 1 CM for EU, but maybe don't make him German only

To give a bit insight from my side, yes I will be here whenever I have time, which sadly is not very often at the moment. My main responsibility is the german community since they need a native speaker and I have to say the main language of Europe is not English, I can tell from experience not every german can speak english or is super proficient with it, so a native speaker is a must.

Still I can see the problems here. So far the NA colleagues handle everything here, it might take a bit longer but normally you get your answers

Also don’t worry I am pretty sure I won’t be the last CM amazon hired for EU. Give this whole thing some time Amazon always preferes to take some time and hire to best for their roles (that’s why they got me :D)

Maselbart is not the only European CM, I’m also here (and I’m Spanish, by the way). We’re also in the process of hiring French and English native speakers Community Managers so we can cover our 4 officially supported languages during Europe day time.

Also, remember that we might not reply to each thread or message but the whole CM team is here to make sure your feedback is heard.

Well not too much to add here most things are already said. As my colleague already pointed out we are in the process of hiring more CMs also one who is there for the English section during european hours

As for me so long I’ll try to help out here as much as I can, but as always no promises, there’s a lot on my plate most of the times.

Regarding the part about the English language it is the most used language in global interactions (at least as much as I am aware of it, I use it all the time to speak with people all around the world what is awesome) and is a great way to communicate to the international community. And I think this is what it was more about at least if I understood the criticism right.
But I am not the EU CM, I am the german CM as already pointed out constantly supporting both forums would be too much of a workload. I’ll help and soon we get more support here.
