Sorry for the frustration regarding the inability to use the Trading Post. Unfortunately Free Weekend Accounts cannot use any form of user-to-user trade – this is intentional, as a means to help combat potential abuse of world economies from illicit bots and other bad actors (the in-game message isn’t exactly clear regarding this exact limitation). I know this is an unideal experience, but with crafting and gathering being such a pillar of New World, hopefully you can understand the circumstances and enjoy other aspects of the game during your visit with us. However, if you choose to stay longer in Aeternum, the Trading Post, Player Trading, and Global Chat functions will be permanently unlocked for your full use!

This is a fair point, and a subject we’ve been discussing internally. While we don’t yet have a solution, the impact of invasions on low-pop worlds is something that we are indeed thinking about! Hopefully we can have an agreeable design fix for you all soon.
