Quick question u/thearcan

If I play through Game Pass on Xbox, I can make do with just the Worldslayer Upgrade, right?

Correct!

Answered you in the other thread and someone else above, so linking here for anyone else's reference.

Will this be on gamepass? If not will there be an upgrade option for those of us who own it through gamepass? (If it will still be in the service when worldslayer launches)

Answered this here, but pasting my answer below:

If you own Outriders through GamePass, you just need to purchase the upgrade to get access to Worldslayer Content.

Don't forget that GamePass may also offer its members extra discounts on top of existing discounts.

When Outriders leaves GamePass and you wanted to continue playing, you would likely need to pick up the base game at that moment in time.

The upgrade by itself wouldn't give you access to the game outside of GamePass.

Your progress is saved in the cloud, so even if you lose access to the game for a little while, it will be waiting for you when you return.

Curious as to how this well improve a specific build or hybrid since you’ll eventually get all of it.

You will indeed eventually get all of it. But that is a long "eventually".

I don't expect most players to end up maxing out the Ascension System, but on their journey through the levels they will naturally need to pick and choose where to invest, which is how those specific builds/hybrids will be developed.

Will gear level progress like it did during the campaign or more like it did with expeditions? I.e. breakneck pace or slow build and customize?

I think I will depend on how fast you get through Apocalypse Tiers and content in general.

Your frame of reference is the base game, where you previously had "World Tiers" followed by "Challenge Tiers". Legendaries were much more frequent on Challenge Tiers (expedition content) than on World Tiers (campaign).

In Worldslayer, you just have a single system, which you can apply to any content at all. Base game campaign, expeditions or Worldslayer and I believe the curve will be a bit more smoothed.

It is worth mentioning that we are running ...

We tried to figure out a way to have a registration process that would check Steam account process and cross-reference your registration form, the Microsoft Account in your reg. form and a different Steam account, but unfortunately it was not possible in the end. Sorry :(

We're therefore going first and foremost with those we can validate via Xbox. If you do want to chance it, feel free to stick in a registration and it may be greenlit if we need more players for either Beta. It's unlikely, but it can't hurt.

Hi there,

I was wondering, considering the level cap increase from 30->40, if we should expect to earn more skill points in the original skill trees in addition to the new Pax point trees (since points in these seem to be tied to story progression, not leveling).

Character levels are remaining at 30.

Apocalypse Tiers go up to 40, just like Challenge Tiers previously maxed out at 15.

The Tier you play on isn't related to your character level or the skill points you acquire.

No new Class Skills, but plenty of new mods to either alter existing skills in new ways or add their own special effects.

I would guess that you can play Worldslayer with just the upgrade with GP. In the Xbox Page it says "Works with: Outriders (Installed)" for me.

This is correct.

If you own Outriders through GamePass, you just need to purchase the upgrade to get access to Worldslayer Content.

Don't forget that GamePass may also offer its members extra discounts on top of existing discounts.

Apocalypse Tiers will be active in the Trial, so you can solo it by reducing difficulty through reduction of Apocalypse Tiers if you're struggling to solo at the higher ones.

Expansion: 55€??? Excuse me?

EDIT: It's possible Steam hasn't updated the price if it's wrong.

That price would be for a package that includes both the base game and Worldslayer. If you have the base game, you can get the Worldslayer upgrade, which is a bit cheaper.

Outriders Worldslayer Closed Beta

  • With Outriders Worldslayer launching in just a few short months, we will be running two small-scale closed and private Betas.
  • As they are closed, we won’t be talking about them too much publicly and we ask that any participants lucky enough to participate ensure that they don’t discuss their experiences anywhere other than in the dedicated private channels.
  • Objectives:
    • The objective of the Closed Betas is to observe progress of players through Worldslayer content. We will be relying on in-game analytics to provide raw data, but we will also be very interested in players feedback around balancing through the dedicated feedback channels we’ll be providing.
    • We will at this stage not be able to make any sweeping changes to any mechanics, formats or processes within Worldslayer, but the data and feedback coming out of the Closed Betas will allow us to provide a more balanced experi...

New Endgame

  • While Apocalypse Tiers do cross over into Expeditions content, Outriders Worldslayer will actually be introducing its own, dedicated Endgame. An Endgame that Worldslayer has actually been specifically designed around.
  • The campaign in Worldslayer will take you to the ancient city of Tarya Gratar (Phonetically: Tar-ya Gra-Ta), the cradle of the PAX civilisation, where the Trial of Tarya Gratar awaits.
  • That’s about all the information we’re ready to share regarding the Endgame at this moment in time. Our next Broadcast will be focusing specifically on the Trial of Tarya Gratar, so you’ll know exactly what to expect.
  • Don’t worry though: The Trial of Tarya Gratar does not contain any timed elements.

Introducing the Apocalypse System + Third Mod Slot

  • As a reminder, the Tiers systems in Outriders allow each player to fine-tune the difficulty of the game to their own needs. Higher Tiers mean higher difficulty but also improved rewards and the ability to equip higher level gear.
  • Outriders Worldslayer introduces a new Apocalypse system that heavily impacts your Max Gear Equip level, the Difficulty Tiers system and, most importantly, Loot.
  • Challenge Tiers are being replaced by Apocalypse Tiers.
    • This change will affect all versions of Outriders, even if you do not have Worldslayer installed.
  • Apocalypse Tiers will determine not just the difficulty and reward scaling of Expeditions but also of all Worldslayer content (campaign and endgame).
  • Apocalypse Tiers will go up to Tier 40 and will act as a natural extension of World Tiers which do still remain in place ...

New Ascension System

  • Outriders Worldslayer introduces a new longterm progression system called Ascension.
  • The idea of Ascension is to give your continued play an ongoing “next level” to work towards alongside regular play.
  • Continued Ascension by itself does not unlock or gate better gear or content. It is purely designed to make you stronger.
  • The Ascension system is currently balanced so that it would take you hundred+ hours to fully complete it.
  • Leveling up Ascension is done by collecting exp from killing enemies. It is only available from Character Level 30 onwards and with Worldslayer installed.
  • XP earned after Level 30 will go towards Ascension Levels which in turn provide you with Ascension Points.
  • You will be able to invest your Ascension Points into any of the four Ascension categories: Brutality, Endurance, Prowess or Anomaly.

New PAX Class Trees

  • Outriders Worldslayer introduces a new class tree: The PAX tree.
  • The PAX tree is a separate class tree from the existing three branches you’re familiar with and it requires it’s own PAX points to activate nodes within it.
  • PAX points are acquired at certain points in Worldslayer that are based on general progress rather than a specific level grind.
  • The PAX tree itself is comprised of 2 branches for each class, though similar to the main skill tree, these are interlinked.
  • Each node in the PAX tree is equivalent to the major nodes in the original class trees, so every choice you make in the PAX tree will be impactful to the performance of your Outrider.
  • Just like the main skill tree, the PAX tree can be freely respec'd.
  • The idea behind the PAX tree is to allow players to either specialise further into a specifi...

New Gear

  • Outriders Worldslayer will of course introduce a host of new gear, both in terms of weaponry and armour.
  • Each class will be getting dedicated new 5-piece Legendary Armour Sets.
  • Worldslayer does also introduce a few new 3-piece Legendary Armour Sets, which will be universally equipable by all classes. These will have their own set bonuses as well.
    • Note: Some of the previous Legendary Armour Sets and Mods will also be reworked as part of the Worldslayer launch! We’ll talk more about these at or shortly before launch.
  • Each new Legendary Gear piece introduced in Worldslayer also comes with a new Mod.
  • We’re planning to show off some of the special Gear you can obtain in Worldslayer on our social channels between now and launch - make sure to follow us there if you’re interested!
