Pathfinder: Wrath of the Righteous Dev Tracker

25 Oct

Hello, Pathfinders!

Today, we have great news for those of you who think that a hundred (or six) hours of adventuring is not enough—we are opening preorders of Pathfinder: Wrath of the Righteous Season Pass 2!

Remember our recent survey about the DLC of your dreams? More than 30 thousand people participated in it, providing us with invaluable data. It helped us plan the content for the new season, and will likely keep helping us in the future. See for yourself: our Creative Director Alexander Mishulin is here to tell you more about what’s coming:

  • DLC #4 brings a new companion for the Knight Commander's party, and a new playable class: the everchanging shifter! Bolster your party with a reliable brawler, capable of taking on the aspects of vari...

Aww man.. it's getting delayed again? :( Anyway can you give us an estimation on when the gore feature is going to be implemented, are we talking weeks or months? I don't mind the low texture or no photomode, but I just want to dismember some demons!

Unfortunately not today, yeah.

Gore isn't very hard to turn back on, it's switched off, not removed from the game. It's more about fixing all the performance issues and memory leaks first, to make sure the game runs well even with gore on. So it will be there once it looks good enough to fit in.

DLC 4 and 5 sound great, couldn't care less about Romance in cRPGs so definitely skipping DLC 6.

DLC6 isn't all about romance - it's about having a chance to spend time with your companions.

Is there any chance that other poll choices will make it in a hypothethical third Season Pass?

We'll certainly be using the data from the poll if that is to happen :) Over 30 thousand people gave their opinions, it's a very good chunk of information about the wishes of the community.

TL;DW: The three DLCs are

  • A shifter companion (and romance?) He is tied to Old Sarkoris.
  • Through the Ashes Part 2
  • 'Having Fun in Kenabres'

The last one was a little vague, I'm sure it's the 3rd of the three. Kinda sounds like Mass Effect's Citadel DLC in a way.

Sounds good! I've been keen to play a shifter. But now I get one as a companion too? What do I do?

So I heard there was a vote some time ago that might have had a hand in this choice...

I've put it to the list of known issues and highlighted to the team, thank you.

Really? KM crashed almost hourly for me, and this game hasn't crashed once in about 100 hours. My bf had the game crash once in the same time. Though we're playing on PS5 (still the PS4 version), so maybe it's a PS4 only issue?

Older gen consoles are way more susceptible to memory problems - game is very memory-heavy and operates very close to the possible limit on them. So once something sets it above the threshold, the game crashes.

Most of the time it's either a memory leak (when something doesn't get unloaded from memory as it should, and persists, stacking indefinitely until the memory can't handle it anymore) or a bug that forces too much to happen on the screen at the same time - a recent example is a trap in Gray Garrison, that triggered (and was showing a new instance of animation!) every game tick while the character was running through it.

Every patch we're closing a number of instances where it happens and at the same time optimizing what we can across the whole game. So that the 'standard' level of memory load is lower. Hopefully soon we'll get rid of most of these issues.

Hi Team, thanks again for your ongoing support.

I've encountered a critical issue whenever trying to re-spec my mythic 9 level character in Act V.

Once I get to the Lvl 9 select 'character portrait or transformed', no inputs work. Game doesn't freeze but is non-responsive. I have tried to send bug report but it can't send from that screen.

Hopefully you can find a fix for the more fickle amongst us :)

Hello, known problem, but not resolved yet. If you've got a mythic portrait already, please refrain from respeccing the character until a fix is ready.
