Our power came back but it’s day 3 of no running water. There were more slips last night which took out the internet. Eta is 2 days for running water and internet but they’re expecting another bad rain tomorrow so who knows. We have hardly slept in days. Still it could be worse.

Our power came back on and Eden got super excited, it went out like three seconds later and then she let out a dejected “ohh” and I’m ready to fist fight the clouds tbh

We still don’t have power or running water and the heavy rain is about to begin again. We have bags packed in case we need to leave again. Feeling super tired but focusing on being grateful for all the things we do have.

In good news, we got to hang out with this cat.

30 metres of water pipe washed away.

We made it home. Our house is ok 🙏 Feeling super grateful. The neighbourhood is in rough shape but heaps of support going out to help everyone. Still no water or power but things could be way worse.

We are okay. Rough night. We can’t get back to our house because of landslides cutting off all access. One of the access roads has been washed out. No power, no water. Not sure if our house is okay. Feeling a bit raw about it but we are doing okay.

This is called foreshadowing, folks 😩

Here’s the slip, under that tree is a huge pile of earth blocking that’s come down the hill, flood water accumulating behind it, the whole thing is moving down the road.

We just evacuated because of a massive slip covering our whole street. We are somewhere safe.
