I cannot get the game to run without stuttering. I've tried multiple monitors, changed everything in settings, game refuses to stop stuttering. Drivers and Windows are up to date.

Hey there @mostafafawaz , thanks for your post about this. I'm sorry to hear you've faced poor framerates in Extraction - that's most unusual! I'll be happy to help you get this sorted.

Some other players have reported an issue with the game ignoring their dedicated graphics cards, and using the integrated graphics instead, leading to poor performance. As such, please see this support article, as it describes how to force the game to use the correct graphics.

If that doesn't solve it, please also see our troubleshooting guide. In particular from that guide, please make sure you've updated your graphics drivers and operating system, you've verified the game files, and you don't have any unnecessary background programs interfering with the game (such as graphics optimisers).

If that doesn't solve the issue, please let me know - I'll be happy to help further!

@mostafafawaz @spenwald Thank you both for the reply and we understand that it may not seem to be your system but we do need you to complete all of the steps linked above in the troubleshooting guides so we can rule out your system.

If these do not work please let us know your system specs and driver version you are on for your graphics cards.

Thank you.

Hi @mostafafawaz , thanks for coming back to me with your system specs - I really appreciate that!

I've noted you're on a laptop, which is exactly the situation that we've seen the game not using the correct graphics chipset - it is likely the game is trying to use your Intel UHD graphics rather than your Nvidia card. As mentioned in my response, please see our support article here describing how to check if that is the case.

If those steps don't solve the issue, please let me know, as I'll be happy to help further.

@GrimViking84 Hey there, thanks for reaching out as well - I'm sorry to see you're getting this poor performance. I'd certainly have expected better performance with your system! I'll be happy to help.

It's great that you've already checked that your drivers are updated. Please see my previous post, where you'll see several troubleshooting steps I'd recommend - can you let me know which of those you have completed?

Let me know if I can clarify this at all!

Hey all,

I've came across some steps that may help if you try setting the FPS limit yourselves in the games settings .ini file.

Please close the game and open the following path in your Windows explorer:
Documents\My Games\Rainbow Six - Extraction

There you can find a folder with a number/letter string. Open that folder to find the file "GameSettings.ini". Please create a copy of that file and move it to a save place, so that you can restore your settings in case anything breaks.

Open the file with a notepad editor and then scroll down to the line "FPSLimit=0". There, you can change the value from 0 to the FPS limit you desire, for example "FPSLimit=144". Of course, you can try with lower values too if needed. Then save the file and try to open the game. It show now launch with the FPS limit you set.

Hey @claud1u111

Ah OK, thanks for the update. Just thought it might be worth posting in case some players didn't know where to find this and to give it a go.
