Hi there,

I don't mean to grief, I mean to bring a feasible solution.

Time and time again, whenever I enter a casual game and it takes me to the "You will join an ongoing match", my heart skips a beat. It skips because there is roughly a 50% chance of me getting into the game, rather than being stuck in the loading screen.

The tendency is that if I join the round when it began, everything will work alright. However, if I am joined to the game just as the round switches, I will be locked out forever - stuck on the loading screen, without the possibility to type, to enter the menu in order to quit the match, disabling further play for others, because they only see me as loading. If they don't make the decision to kick me, the loading screen will go on and on, until either I leave the game by Alt+F4 or something magically happens and I start the game with a randomly chosen operator.

There is two things here I suggest:
1) Put a max loading time for the user in this state. If the game doesn't start after 60 seconds, kick the players from the casual game who are having problem connecting. This will at least fix the problem of others waiting for the game to start and it's taking a place for someone who wants to join, but can't due to this bug.
2) Include the menu on the loading screen so users can exit the match after it takes too long to join before the gameplay begins.

As I don't get to play much daily, roughly an hour or two, it breaks my heart if I am stuck in a loading screen for 10 minutes - I could've quit, but I wanted to see what happens this time in order to write this ticket.

Hope you'll understand,

Hey there WZ.ZONE_Zander, I am sorry to hear that you have encountered issues when trying to connect to ongoing matches in Rainbow Six Siege. I can appreciate that this must be frustrating, both for you and the players you try to join, and rest assured that we are investigating reports like yours and hoping to continue to improve in-game connectivity.

To try and improve your own connectivity (just in case the issue should be local in your particular case) and optimise it, I'd recommend completing both our Rainbow Six Siege connectivity troubleshooting and our Uplay PC connectivity troubleshooting.

Your feedback and ideas are also much appreciated as well - I'd recommend posting a separate thread for those over in our dedicated Feedback section
