Im having major stuttering problems where I freeze and get kicked off the servers. I went on task manager and siege is taking 100% cpu usage. I turned on vsync and still had the problem, I put an FPS limit to my hertz and Im still having the problem. Please help before I delete this game for good

Hello CastingCar, welcome to the forums.

High CPU usage can be based on a players system, what components they have installed and what software they have been using or previously had installed as well.

If you use any VoIP applications like Discord or Team Speak, these are known to contribute to CPU usage, as well as any overclocking software and game overlays.

This list is not extensive but please scroll down to the bottom of the list to check if you may be running any of this software in the background that may cause conflicts -

Please disable any additional programs other than the game, by performing a clean boot, here -
- Press the Windows key and S buttons on the keypad and search for Task Manager,
- Launch the app then navigate to the 'Start up' programs tab
- Disable everything that might be conflicting with the game such as conflicting software
- Restart the computer then try launching the game from Uplay/Epic/Steam

We recommend disabling these when you can to let the game utilise the full performance of your CPU instead.

Another thing you can try is to set the CPU affinity to 4 cores and changing CPU priority to real time, this reportedly helped some players with similar high CPU use.

Ah I am sorry to hear that CastingCar, thank you for trying a clean boot. Do you know how many cores your CPU is using?

Can I ask if you are using the DirectX version of the game or Vulkan mode and have you tested the game recently on each version to see if your CPU limit is lowered?

Hey!

Would you also be able to test the Vulkan version please? It should give you the choice when you press Play on the game.

I believe Milky was referring to your CPU usage, using Task Manager.

- Can you please also confirm your system specifications? That may help.
- When you are disconnected from the server, what error do you receive?

That error is also a generic disconnection error, so if you come across this again, please give the steps in this guide a try.
