After the update that went live somewhere in mid October my mouse randomly stopped working in-game. In the menus everything works completely fine, however when I try to turn my character in an actual game (or situation) there is no response whatsoever. I can still ADS and shoot, but can't get my character to turn around. My keyboard works fine in both the menus and the game, my mouse is the only thing that's having problems. My Windows 10 and all of my drivers are up to date. Here's everything I've tried so far :
- Disabling all overlays (Discord, Steam, NVidia Shadowplay and even the Uplay overlay)
- Turning off my anti virus
- Verifying game files with Uplay launcher
- Unplugging my Xbox 1 controller
- Running both Uplay launcher AND R6 as an admin
- Deleting the GameSettings.ini file so the game would create a fresh one
- Making an exception in the firewall for R6
- Reinstalling the entire game
I also tried contacting the Uplay support and they told me to uninstall RivaTuner and MSI Afterburner which I did but there was no improvement. They closed my case because I got too frustrated and forgot to answer them.
This is starting to get extremely frustrating since I'm currently completely out of options and my friends have recently got back into the game and I would very much like to join them. I've been trying to troubleshoot this for about two weeks or so after I got the bug and none of the fixes I've found worked for me so I just deleted the game and forgot about it, until now. There's probably one small thing I need to change to fix my game and that's the most annoying part, hopefully someone has a new fix I haven't tried yet
