Hi there. Recently I bought my younger brother siege so he could also play, and while I was helping him configure the best settings possible, I noticed that he was able to get a smooth 144fps on ultra settings. This confused me as I am always getting 20fps on my end whenever I tried ultra settings. I went investigating and discovered that his GPU usage was 3 TIMES LESS the amount mine was (roughly 6980mb.) Obviously this stumped me so I tried looking to see if the problem was rooted in my personal user account and not his. Nope. I logged in as him on my local user account and sure enough he remained getting a smooth 144fps on everything ultra and I that's when I noticed how much GPU memory was being used. Now this is frustrating me clearly as even when I was on lower graphics I was still struggling to maintain a smooth framerate regardless of my settings. Everything was low at one point and the best I could do was a smooth 90.

I have determined that the problem must be rooted in my Ubisoft Account or Siege settings but I cannot figure out what or why that would be. I would greatly appreciate if somebody could help me.

Thank you in advance, Ryan

@strokemyouioui Hello!

Thanks for posting to Ubisoft Discussions. Sorry to hear about the difference in GPU usage between these two accounts.

We appreciate all the details of the investigation you've done so far, and the inclusion of your system specs. Currently, your in-game settings are tied to your Ubisoft Account, therefore we'd advise you to ensure that you have the exact same settings on both accounts, to see if the issue persists.

You will be able to locate your GameSettings.ini file in your Documents (C:\Users\CurrentUser\Documents\My Games\Rainbow Six - Siege\) and you can check both files for both of your accounts, which will allow you to also see if settings match.

If this doesn't solve the issue, try deleting your GameSettings.ini for both accounts! New .ini files will be generated again when the game is launched from each account.

Let us know if you require any further assistance with this!
