This is not an issue that I've seen before. I am thinking it could be an issue with installation locations. Do you have Siege, Uplay, and Steam all installing on the same drive? Are they running as administrator?

Has the game finished installing? Please install the latest version of Uplay. If you start the game from Steam it will open Uplay and ask you to log into an account. Please note that the account you log into will be the only Ubisoft account that can play your copy of Rainbow Six Siege.

Unfortunately that isn't possible. Can you please try all of the following: https://support.steampowered.com/kb_...2274-IFLV-5334

Can you make sure you have Uplay PC and Steam on the same drive?

Okay thanks, Do you only have the one drive? Could you try installing the game and Uplay on another drive?

That may well be the cause, have you tried the BattlEye troubleshooting?

You can find that here

If you have any other games with BattlEye, then it may be some corruption from that.

Ok, at this point can you try restarting in Safe Mode with Networking and see if that will allow it to patch?

Thanks

We're sorry to hear that, syelco. If you're willing to try the below, then it may help with the issue.

In the case of the other drive, you should just be able to select that when you are starting the installation. Although if it's too small that likely won't help regardless.

How much space do you have left on the C drive? If it's near capacity this could be something that's causing an issue. I'd also advise Defragging the drive, as this may be an issue with fragmentation on the drive. You can do this through the Windows Disk Defragmenter in Accessories/System Tools.

Hey there.

There is a number of reasons why this could be happening, it could be indicative of an issue with the drive itself. Have you tried installing to a different drive if that's possible for you? I'd perhaps recommend reaching out to Steam Support for further assistance as this is a steam client error rather than the game itself.
