Whenever I play a co-op match, there's a chance that I will encounter a bug in which when the match starts, I am left looking at the spawn location selection screen. The game is actually running; I can hear my squadmates moving and shooting, and in fact they see me standing in the game. I can be killed by my squadmates and by tangos. However, I cannot do anything because all I see is the spawn location screen. I can use the in-game chat to chat with my squad and I can access the menus, including being able to return to the main menu. But, I cannot actually play, in terms of shooting, moving, or seeing anything other than the spawn location screen. I can't do anything to close the spawn location screen.
At most, I can play 3 matches in a row before the bug occurs. However, the bug can occur at the start of the first, second, or third match, and always occurs after 3 matches. I so far have not gotten beyond 3 matches without encountering the bug.
This bug only occurs in multiplayer. I have so far only tried co-op; I have not tried PvP. I have played with 1, 2, and 3 other people in the squad, and it seems to occur regardless of the size of the squad.
Sometimes leaving the squad and returning to the main menu resets the problem so that I can play 1 to 3 matches before seeing the bug again. Sometimes returning to the main menu does not help at all. Sometimes quitting to the desktop and running the game again works, and sometimes it doesn't. Even after returning to the menu or quitting to the desktop, then rejoining the squad, I have gone as many as 10 games in a row with the bug occurring.
After I encounter the bug, I can return to the main menu and play a lone wolf match without a problem. However, if I rejoin a squad, then the bug occurs again. In other words, even though I was just able to play a lone wolf match, I still need to restart the game to play co-op once again.
After I encounter the bug, I can wait for my squadmates to complete the match. Assuming that I don't get kicked out for inactivity, then afterward, the bug always occurs whenever I start a new match until I restart the game--and again, restarting doesn't always fix it.
After I encounter the bug and I let my squadmates complete the match, some things I tried from that point on include:
None of these things made any difference; after I encounter the bug, then as I said the bug always occurs whenever I start a new match until I restart the game.
Other things I tried include rebooting my PC, verifying the files, and reinstalling the game. None of these made a difference.
Some key points:
I created a bug report for this on r6fix.ubi.com, but the line breaks aren't retained so it's hard to read there:

After I encounter the bug and I let my squadmates complete the match, some things I tried from that point on include:
- Switching operators.
- Using the same operator without changing any gear.
- Replaying the same map.
- Letting a different map randomly get chosen.
None of these things made any difference; after I encounter the bug, then as I said the bug always occurs whenever I start a new match until I restart the game.
Other things I tried include rebooting my PC, verifying the files, and reinstalling the game. None of these made a difference.
Some key points:
- The game never actually crashes. It's still running and as I said I can access the menu and hear the sounds of the game as my squadmates do things.
- Lone wolf play works flawlessly. The issue is only with co-op. Even after encountering the bug in co-op, I can play a lone wolf match without a problem.
