Okay, guys, I'll try to summarize the situation:

On the 10th of November I re-installed Oracle's VirtualBox on my computer for work, it was already around 10 pm and I had played our dear Siege two hours before and it was working normally. When installing and trying to play then, a few hours later the game simply enters a match, for an entire round it works normally... Until when it comes to changing rounds. Then the game just closes. No error messages, crashes, nothing. The game just closes.

Apparently the game doesn't work well with VirtualBox installed on the computer. I'm a DBA and I work with database so I use virtual machines for various functions besides machine learning but I assure you: It has nothing to do with my use and rainbow six siege. So the question remains: How can I play? If I uninstall VirtualBox I lose years of work. And I don't want to have to dual boot just because of an online game.

To make matters worse: I called Ubisoft support and they sent me an article about connectivity. All my modem ports are unlocked as I need to use different type-ports to work... Besides that I have 600MB of internet and play around 9ms..

@Flawless_Life Hi, and welcome to the forum !

I've taken note of your report, and I'm sorry to hear that a potential software conflict with VirtualBox is impacting your experience in Rainbow Six: Siege !

For the purpose of our investigation, in order to isolate the Issue and in addition to the steps already performed on your end, I invite you to provide us with the following information :

👉 What are the specs of your PC (CPU / GPU / RAM / Free space left / HDD or SSD) ?

👉 What version of Windows is it running ?

👉 Does the problem still happen after checking the game files for anything missing or corrupted ?

If you'd like to share additional details, or if you have any questions, feel free to let us know !

@Flawless_Life thanks for getting back to us with your specs. Thanks as well for weighing in @Lie-nus, as I am also curious to see if disabling overlays (the ones not necessary for your gameplay) or even disabling background applications helps to mitigate the game closing after the first round.
