I have realized that after a disconnection while the game is running, you cannot use or hear voice chat in the matches you are about to play so I quit and start the game again if I ever get a random disconnection in the menu.
While this is consistent, there are other versions of this:

  • Randomly having a match with voice-chat not working and the match after that voice-chat starts working without even relaunching the game.
  • Randomly having the voice-chat bug where even if you have not disconnected you cannot use voice chat in any of the matches you play unless you relaunch the game.

@erkek2000 Thanks for giving those steps a try.

Just to confirm, voice chat always stops working after you are disconnected in-game? If it doesn't happen every time, have you noticed any particular pattern?

@erkek2000 Hello there.

Thanks for confirming this for us!

Could you please try the following troubleshooting steps found here, to see if it helps with your voice chat issue.

In addition to this, could you please make sure your microphone is set as "Default Communication Device" in your settings.

Then also make sure that your microphone have the proper right in your Windows:
1. Open your “File Explorer” and click on “Control Panel”. Then click on “Hardware and Sound” and then click on “Sound”.
2. Click on the “Recording” tab and then select your microphone (i.e. “Headset mic”, “Internal mic”, etc.) and click "Properties".
3. Click the "Advanced" tab. Click on the check mark in the box next to "Allow applications to take exclusive control of this device" to remove the check mark from the box. Then click "Apply".

To help with your connection to Ubisoft's services, could you make sure all of our connectivity troubleshooting has been followed, to help reduce the chance of disconnecting in future?
