Yesterday I was playing Rainbow Six Siege in ranked and I came across a bug that essentially breaks the game for everyone in that match.
What occurred leading up to the issue was the usual round ending after the one team was eliminated and everyone was choosing their classes and spawning locations as normal until a player disconnected/removed almost as soon as the loading screen appeared (whether it was intentional or not I do not know). Afterwards I see some teammates typing in chat "gg" and "the game doesn't recover from this" implying the game will never load and they were right, it never did. Not only did disconnecting and reconnecting not fix this for anyone but the opponents team was swapped (after the other team all disconnected) with five new players who were also now stuck in this bug. In the end I decided to quit the game after waiting for 25 minutes and chose not to play until the next day which ended up resetting my rank (which appears to be fixed upon typing this) after I played one game.
From what I've found this error isn't exactly uncommon since a quick search on YouTube will find multiple videos relating to this issue dating back to last year.
An example of this can be found here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fqkX...youtu.be&t=20m
I also have my own recorded version if that needs to be provided to resolve this issue.
