Hi I've recently returned to siege and I've still got to deal with an issue where my graphics settings reset whenever I load up the game or load into any sort of match in siege. I've tried basically anything I could find like turning of controlled folder access, deleting files, reinstalling, verifying, all sorts of youtube videos and forum pages about this same issue. If there is anyone who could help me with this I would really appreciate it cause I've dealt with this issue for months now and still haven't solved it.

Hey @Poo_Blues17 and welcome to the Ubisoft Discussions!

I understand that the graphics settings for Rainbow Six: Siege reset every time you launch the game. After looking into this, this issue might be caused by the fact that the "GameSettings.ini" file is set to read-only. This would mean that any changes made in the game cannot be applied to your Settings file. The game's settings file is located in - Documents\My Games\[Ubisoft ID].

Hey there @SakuraWind , thanks for reaching out. I understand you've had this same issue of your graphics settings to reset when you join a match, which is very unusual indeed!

This is often caused by access rights, meaning that the game doesn't have the right level of access to properly change the settings files (even when they are not set to read only). Can you check our troubleshooting guide for me? In particular from the guide, please make sure you are running the game with administrator rights, you've verified the game files, you've got your Windows install fully updated, and you don't have any background programs which could interfere with the game (particularly firewalls or antiviruses).

Thanks for getting back to us.

So just to clarify - if you use a Preset in the Main Menu, it's still applied once a match is launched?

And when changing your graphics again while in the match, it works this time?

And did you complete all of the steps listed by @Ubi-Thrupney, including those from our troubleshooting guide and verifying the game's files?
