I feel like stuff like this happens any time a new map comes out or is reworked. I'd say give it some time so that players can re-learn the map and learn how to counter those type of tactics! Neon Dawn hasn't been out for a full day yet, so there are bound to be players who figure out how to out play people who choose to sit in corners and stuff sooner or later.

The notification your seeing in-game is just a notification that carried over from the Test Server, not the change itself. Hatches are not reinforced. :)

Vulkan is an alternative API for launching games! Some players report less issues and higher FPS with it, but it is still in it's testing phase, so it doesn't work well with certain PC's. The only way to really know for sure if it's better for you is to give it a shot!

Hey Everyone! As we mentioned on Twitter we will be doing some data consolidation with this patch, meaning that even though the patch is larger, it will take up less space on your hard drive! Maintenance like this is what keeps our game from taking up unnecessary space on your PC. I understand that it can be a bit jarring to see such a large update, but, in the long, run, it really should be helpful for everyone involved. We also understand that this can be frustrating for some users with slower internet speeds, but ultimately the smaller game size as a result will be beneficial for everyone. Operation Neon Dawn, the final season of Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six Siege Year 5, is now available. This new season brings new features such as Aruni, a brand-new Operator, the rework of the Skyscraper map as well as new accessibility settings.

Owners of the Year 5 Pass can play with Aruni immediately, while other players can unlock her with Renown or R6 Credits starting December 8. New seasonal content, including the Skyscraper map rework, are available for free to all players. Year 5 Season 4 also welcomes the Battle Pass, available now through February 22nd.

Equipped with an original gadget called the Surya Gate, Aruni can deploy laser gates on walls, hatches, doors, and windows. Those gates damage Attackers and their utility but turn off to allow defenders to access. The gate is intended as an obstacle, zapping all drones, projectiles and damage Operators. Aruni comes with a P10 RONI or a MK 14 EBR as a primary weapon, and a PRB 92 as a secondary weapon.
