You'll get your Est. 2016 title regardless of which account is set to primary, as long as you link your Steam+Switch to the same Epic Games Account
So Steam and EGS will be two separate platforms? How will this affect cross-platform matchmaking? Surely, they would both count as PC and still be matched up together?
All PC platforms are considered the same for the purposes of matchmaking. If you turn off cross-play on PC, you'll still match with/against both PC platforms.
One question for you, u/Psyonix_Devin . Will I be able to link two Steam accounts to one Epic account? I gave my old Steam account to a friend who purchased his first PC (because it had many single player games on it), and created a new one. I have since recovered this account bc he stopped using it. I have a Grand Champion title on my new one, but I have my bronze s1 crown on the old one.
No, you can only link one account per platform to an Epic Games Account. So you could have a PS4 and a Steam account linked, but not two Steam accounts.
You can unlink your Steam account and link a different one, but they cannot both be connected simultaneously.
Also keep in mind part of the Epic Games Account ruleset for linking is that a platform account cannot be linked to different Epic Games Accounts. So once you link your Steam account to one, you can't take it to a different one later. This is part of fraud prevention and other abuse.

Thank you for the response, I hadn’t considered that most people weren’t seeing this issue any more, however the issue is still quite consistent for me.
Would it help if I sent you a DM with as many important details as I can think of? I have opened a ticket about this issue previously however I think it might be easier just to give someone the information directly.

Happened to me 3 or 4 times since the “fix” it seems random not consistent can’t find the trigger but it’s still annoying had to stop using gbomb because it started crashing again ( I tried to msg devin on here doubt he read msgs. I also submitted a ticket two times and sent msgs on Twitter.) I guess I’m glad I’m not the only one still experiencing the crash but it must be super small amount of ppl because you’re the only other person I know that’s experienced it too

u/Psyonix_Devin out of curiosity, is there any plan for you guys to restore casual MMR for those who lost it during the maintenance? Mine (along with several others I know of) was reset back to 800 and at first I thought, "whatever, this could be fun. I'll just mess around and try to meet some cool lower ranked players". I met some cool people and it was actually a super refreshing experience, but after a few dozen games I'm still well over 1,000 MMR lower than where I was before and it's become quite old, not to mention a fair ratio of players are pretty toxic about it, as they should be.
Ahoy hoy, I commented in a few other threads over the last day confirming we were looking into the issue, and it looks like we just pushed out a fix within PsyNet in the last few minutes. Casual MMR for affected players should be back to normal!
EDIT: It may take a bit for this to be surfaced in trackers tied to our API, please be patient.
